    • Four more hits in win
Arraez went 4-for-5 with a double, one RBI and one run scored in Thursday's 6-4 extra-inning win over the Reds.

Advice: Arraez has multiple hits in his last eight games, going 20-for-38 (.526) with three extra-base hits in that span. The infielder played at first base Thursday, swapping places with Jake Cronenworth on the right side of the infield. Arraez is up to a .341/.382/.422 slash line with one home run, 12 RBI, 31 runs scored and three stolen bases over 226 plate appearances. He sees a majority of the playing time at the keystone and should continue to thrive atop the order for a team that has little trouble putting the ball in play. Rotowire.com Today, 5:51 pm

    • Michael Busch goes 0-for-4 in loss to Braves
Michael Busch went 0-for-4 with a pair of strikeouts on Thursday in the Cubs’ shutout loss at the hands of the Braves.

Advice: Busch is really struggling at the moment, batting .183 (17-for-93) with just one home run over his last 30 games. He’s gone especially frigid at the dish, hitting just .071 (1-for-14) over his past seven contests. The league seems to have made its adjustment to the 26-year-old top prospect and now it’s time for him to strike back. It wouldn’t be shocking to see him get a break in the coming days as a bit of a mental reset. Rotoworld Today, 2:52 pm

    • Rebounds for 14th save
Holmes earned the save in Thursday's 5-0 win over Seattle, allowing two hits while striking out a pair in 1.1 innings.

Advice: Holmes came on in relief in the eighth after Nick Burdi loaded the bases. He'd induce a grounder off the bat of Luke Raley for the final out before working around a pair of singles in the ninth to earn his 14th save. It's a nice bounce-back effort from Holmes, after he allowed four runs in a blown save against Seattle on Monday, the first four runs he's allowed this season. Overall, the 31-year-old right-hander sports a 1.64 ERA with a 1.23 WHIP and 25:6 K:BB across 22 innings this year. Rotowire.com Today, 2:46 pm

    • Another strong outing
Skenes didn't factor into the decision Thursday against the Giants, allowing one run on six hits and a walk over six innings. He struck out three.

Advice: While Thursday's outing wasn't as dominant as Skene's 11-strikeout performance in his last start, the rookie right-hander was still effective, coaxing a pair of key double-play balls to limit the Giants to just one run. However, the Pirates bullpen would implode late, leaving Skenes with a no-decision in an eventual 7-6 loss. Skenes now sports a 2.25 ERA with a 1.00 WHIP and an impressive 21:4 K:BB through his first three starts (16 innings). He's currently in line for a road matchup with the Tigers in his next outing. • Luis Arraez collects four hits in win over Reds
Luis Arraez went 4-for-5 with an RBI and run scored in an extra-inning win over the Reds on Thursday.

Advice: That’s the second four-hit game in a row for Arraez, as he also collected four in the 7-3 win Wednesday. It’s also the eighth consecutive multi-hit game, and that’s seen the 27-year-old increase his average to .341. Helping in other categories is sometimes tricky, but the average category? Nope. That’s one Arraez is always going to be dominant in. Rotoworld Today, 1:32 pm

    • Paul Skenes limits Giants to one run over six
Paul Skenes allowed one run over six innings with three strikeouts, but didn’t factor into the decision against the Giants on Thursday.

Advice: Skenes allowed six hits and one walk. The right-hander didn’t have his best swing-and-miss stuff, and he did deal with some traffic; something he didn’t deal with at all in his six no-hit innings Friday against the Cubs. Even still, the 21-year-old was impressive again, and he now has a 2.25 ERA and a 21/4 K/BB over three starts. Next up for Skenes is a start against the Tigers on Wednesday. • Rare multi-hit effort Wednesday
Gelof went 2-for-5 with a game-tying RBI single in an extra-innings loss to the Rockies on Wednesday.

Advice: After knotting the game at 2-2 in the bottom of the ninth with his timely knock, Gelof also drove in Shea Langeliers during the 12th but didn't get credited with an RBI since it was a double-play groundout. Nevertheless, Gelof did extend his on-base streak to four games with his multi-hit effort, his first since April 21. Despite the recent modest success, Gelof's slash line sits at a paltry .192/.260/.308 across 132 plate appearances, with a strikeout rate that's shot up from a rookie figure of 27.3 percent to 34.1 percent partly to blame for his struggles. • Four hits including first homer
Arraez went 4-for-5 with a home run and two RBI in Wednesday's 7-3 win over the Reds.

Advice: The 27-year-old led off the game with his first homer of the season as he produced his seventh straight multi-hit performance. Arraez has been raking since being traded to the Padres, slashing .391/.425/.478 in 73 plate appearances, and with Xander Bogaerts (shoulder) facing a lengthy absence, he should be locked in as San Diego's everyday second baseman. • Takes second loss
Glasnow (6-2) was tagged with the loss against the Arizona on Wednesday, allowing three runs on four hits and one walk while striking out six over five innings.

Advice: Glasnow cruised through the first four innings before allowing three consecutive batters to reach base with one out in the fifth, eventually leading to three runs coming across for Arizona. He would make it through the frame but didn't return for the sixth, marking the second straight start in which he's been unable to make it through at least six innings. The right-hander is now 1-2 in May after going 5-1 in his first six decisions to open the campaign. However, he still sports a healthy 34:5 K:BB through four starts this month.
