      Guerrero went 2-for-3 with a walk and a three-run home run in Thursday's win over the Orioles.

      Advice: The first baseman opened the scoring by launching a cutter from Cade Povich over the right-field fence in the third inning.     • Struggles with control in loss
      Lopez (5-6) took the loss against the Yankees on Thursday, allowing seven runs on four hits and six walks while striking out four batters over four innings.

      Advice: Lopez threw just 54 of 96 pitches for strikes and issued a season-high six walks -- more than he had handed out over his previous seven starts combined. Three of the free passes came to consecutive batters leading off the third frame, and all three of the recipients came around to score. The wildness was probably an aberration for Lopez considering his overall track record, but even when he's finding the strike zone, he's been struggling to get batters out.       Witt went 1-for-4 with a walk and two stolen bases in Thursday's 4-3 win over the Guardians.

      Advice: Witt has gone 13-for-31 (.419) with 10 RBI and three steals during his seven-game hitting streak. While he didn't score Thursday, he was active on the basepaths for his third multi-steal game of the season.     • Lopez allows seven runs in loss Thursday
      Pablo Lopez allowed seven runs in four innings and took the loss against the Yankees on Thursday.

      Advice: Lopez gave up four hits, walked six and struck out four. It was a tough matchup against the Yankees, but Lopez was shaky in this one. He hit Austin Wells in the second inning and he scored on a home run by Trent Gresham. In the third inning, Lopez walked the bases loaded and all three of the runners ended up scoring. In the fourth inning, he walked Aaron Judge, who also ended up scoring. Lopez’ ERA is up to 5.45 on the season, but his xFIP is significantly lower at 3.42.       X-rays came back negative on Nico Hoerner’s hand after being hit by a pitch during Thursday’s game against the Reds.

      Advice: Hoerner remained in the contest and appears to have avoided serious injury after being plunked on the hand by a 96.5 mph fastball from Reds starter Hunter Greene during the early stages of the game.     • Evan Phillips allows three runs in non-save spot
      Evan Phillips was charged with three runs in the eighth inning on Thursday in a non-save situation against the Pirates.

      Advice: Phillips got the call for his first appearance in nearly a week with the Dodgers leading by seven runs at the time and wound up surrendering four hits, including a three-run homer to Oneil Cruz. Fortunately, his struggles didn’t end up impacting the final result of the contest, but it certainly doesn’t do fantasy managers any favors in the ratio departments.     • Sharp in third win
      Kikuchi (3-5) earned the win Thursday over Baltimore, allowing one run on four hits and a walk over six innings. He struck out six.

      Advice: Kikuchi held the Orioles scoreless through his first five innings, ultimately allowing a lone run on an Adley Rutschman solo home run in the sixth. It was an encouraging rebound effort from the 32-year-old left-hander, who'd given up 10 earned runs over just 8.1 innings in his previous two outings. Kikuchi lowered his ERA to 3.48 on the campaign with a 1.22 WHIP and 71:15 K:BB across 13 starts (72.1 innings). Kikuchi is currently scheduled to face the Brewers on the road in his next outing.       Bobby Witt Jr. reached twice while stealing two bases in a 4-3 win for the Royals over the Guardians on Thursday.

      Advice: Witt Jr. is now up to 19 thefts on the year. The speedy superstar is playing at an MVP level with a .317/.371/.560 slash, and has picked up hits in each game thus far in June. If 2025 drafts were held now — and they are decidedly not — it’d be hard to argue that he wouldn’t be the first pick in the overwhelming majority of leagues. Scary to think he’s still only 23, too.       Vladimir Guerrero popped a three-run homer Thursday to help the Blue Jays to a win over the Orioles.

      Advice: Vladdy Jr. gave Cade Povich a rude introduction during Povich’s MLB debut with a three-run blast in the third. The 25-year-old also drew a walk and singled. Guerrero Jr. has made loads of hard contact and certainly has been a contributor in the average category with a .295 RBI, but it’s great to see the infielder start to drive the baseball on a more consistent basis as of late.
