Jordan Hicks allowed three runs with five strikeouts over five innings in a win over the Rockies on Wednesday.

Hicks ran into more trouble in the fifth, giving up two runs on four hits and a walk. His day was done after five frames on 92 pitches. He struck out five. The 27-year-old right-hander has enjoyed an early breakout as a starter, posting a 2.30 ERA, 1.12 WHIP, and a 35/16 K/BB ratio across 43 innings. Hicks will take on the Dodgers in San Francisco on Monday.
