    • Picks up fourth win
Gaddis (4-2) struck out three in a perfect inning to earn the win Wednesday over the Tigers.

Advice: Gaddis struck out the side on 12 pitches in the eighth inning, and he became the pitcher of record when Josh Naylor put the Guardians ahead with an RBI single in their half of the frame. During his 18.2-inning scoreless streak, Gaddis has allowed seven hits and three walks while striking out 21 and adding nine holds. The setup man has a 1.13 ERA, 0.73 WHIP and 47:8 K:BB through 48 innings this season as a standout performer in baseball's best bullpen. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:08 pm

    • Records another save
Scott earned a save against the Orioles on Wednesday, issuing one walk and striking out one batter over one scoreless inning.

Advice: Scott entered in the top of the ninth and issued a leadoff walk, but that was wiped out when the next batter he faced grounded into a double play. The left-handed closer then got Ramon Urias to strike out to finish off the victory. The save was the second in as many days for Scott, and he extended his streak of scoreless outings to 16. Over that stretch, Scott has gone 10-for-10 in save opportunities while posting a 20:6 K:BB across 16.2 frames. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:34 pm
    • Lifts homer in loss
Soto went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, a double and a walk in Wednesday's 12-3 loss to the Mets.

Advice: Soto's blast gave the Yankees a 2-1 lead in the third inning, but the Mets poured it on after that. The outfielder is one of 12 players in the majors so far this season to record at least 20 homers and 20 doubles -- he's at 26 long balls and 20 two-baggers after Wednesday. He's added a .311/.435/.599 slash line with 72 RBI, 83 runs scored and five stolen bases through 100 contests, and he's been even better in July by batting .342 with 15 extra-base hits over 18 games this month. • Pops 13th homer
Vientos went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional RBI in Wednesday's 12-3 win over the Yankees.

Advice: Vientos knocked in the first and last runs during the Mets' eighth-inning rally, opening the inning with a solo shot before adding a sacrifice fly. The infielder is batting .294 (20-for-68) with three homers and 10 RBI over 18 contests in July as he continues to hold down a starting role at third base. For the year, he's slashing .290/.345/.545 with 13 homers, 35 RBI, 30 runs scored, 12 doubles and no stolen bases over 220 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:22 pm

    • Racks up four hits in win
Merrill went 4-for-5 with a triple, a double and three runs scored in Wednesday's 12-3 win over the Nationals.

Advice: Merrill had two chances to swing for the fences to complete a cycle, but he struck out and singled in those at-bats. It was still a fantastic game for the rookie, who has three multi-hit efforts over his last four games. He's slashing .284/.316/.443 with 12 home runs, 49 RBI, 45 runs scored, 10 stolen bases, 14 doubles and three triples over his first 100 major-league contests. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:35 pm

    • Earns sixth win
Waldron (6-9) allowed three runs on four hits and two walks while striking out four over six innings to earn the win Wednesday over the Nationals.

Advice: Waldron turned in his eighth quality start in 10 outings since the start of June, and the Padres' offense offered plenty of support to back him up. The right-hander snapped a five-start winless stretch. He's maintained a 3.64 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 103:33 K:BB through 118.2 innings over 21 starts this season. Waldron's next appearance is projected to be at home versus the Dodgers. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:25 pm

    • Jackson Merrill rips four hits in blowout
Jackson Merrill went 4-for-5 with a double, a triple, three runs scored, and an RBI in a 12-3 beatdown against the Nationals.

Advice: Merrill broke out of his July swoon in a big way with four hits and just falling a home run short of the cycle. It’s a shame Paul Skenes exists because Merrill would have a real shot at being the National League Rookie of the Year if not. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:04 pm

    • Matt Waldron works quality start, win
Matt Waldron allowed four hits and three earned runs across six innings on Wednesday against the Nationals. He struck out four and walked two on his way to the victory.

Advice: This game got off to a shaky start for Waldron: back-to-back knocks from Lane Thomas and Jesse Winker followed by a home run from Juan Yepez put three runs on the board early. Then, the Padres offense erupted for 11 runs in two innings and Waldron coasted through the sixth. This start wasn’t as dominant as his last few, but the end result was still fantastic. • Tanner Scott nails down 18th save
Tanner Scott worked around a walk to throw another scoreless ninth inning on Wednesday against the Orioles. He also struck out a batter.

Advice: Scott is blazing hot right now. His fastball was up around 99 MPH for the second straight outing and he hasn’t allowed a hit in 11 consecutive outings with eight saves in that span. He is so good right now that he may get traded and immediately take over the closer role on his new team. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:34 pm
