    • Yankees officially add Jazz Chisholm Jr. from Fish
Yankees acquired OF Jazz Chisholm Jr. from the Marlins for C Agustin Ramirez, INF Abrahan Ramirez and INF Jared Serna.

Advice: The dynamic 26-year-old superstar is a tremendous get for the Yankees and should really bolster their offensive attack over the final two months of the regular season and into the playoffs — especially in the hitter-friendly confines of Yankee Stadium. Expect Chisholm to jump right in as the Bombers’ leadoff hitter, which will lead to ample opportunities for runs scored with the improved supporting cast around him. Rotoworld 20 minutes ago
    • Traded to Phillies
The Angels traded Estevez to Philadelphia on Saturday, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Estevez was one of the top closers available at the deadline, logging 20 saves in 23 chances this season with a 2.38 ERA and 0.74 WHIP. He'll join a Phillies bullpen that opened the season deploying Jose Alvarado in the ninth inning before turning to Jeff Hoffman late in June with Alvarado occasionally mixing in. Without a clear top closer, Estevez has a chance to step into a ninth-inning role for the MLB-leading 64-39 Phillies. Rotowire.com 26 minutes ago

    • Phillies to acquire Angels’ closer Carlos Estévez
Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports that the Phillies have reached an agreement to acquire Angels’ closer Carlos Estévez.

Advice: The Phillies will reportedly send pitching prospects George Klassen and Samuel Aldegheri to the Angels in the deal. It’ll be interesting to see how the Phillies’ late-inning mix shakes out with Estévez joining Jeff Hoffman and Jose Alvarado who have been sharing the load in the ninth inning. • Bryan Hudson (oblique) undergoing MRI on Saturday
Bryan Hudson will undergo an MRI exam on Saturday to determine the severity of his left oblique strain.

Advice: The Brewers are hoping that it’s just a Grade 1 strain and that Hudson will only need to miss a couple of weeks, but they’ll wait and see what the imaging says. The 27-year-old southpaw landed on the injured list on Saturday after compiling a ridiculous 1.60 ERA, 0.75 WHIP and a 54/13 K.BB ratio across his 50 2/3 innings in 35 appearances this season. • Traded to Yankees
The Marlins traded Chisholm on Saturday to the Yankees, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Per Craig Mish of the Miami Herald, the Marlins will receive three prospects as part of the package for Chisholm, headlined by catcher Agustin Ramirez from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, per Jon Heyman of the New York Post. The addition of Chisholm gives the Yankees another left-handed bat with speed, as he's recorded 22 stolen bases this season, eight of which have come in July. It's unclear exactly how he will fit into the outfield rotation, but it could mean that Alex Verdugo could be the odd man out in an outfield made up of Chisholm, Aaron Judge and Juan Soto, especially with Giancarlo Stanton (hamstring) targeting a return Monday. Chilsholm has also seen time at second base this season, and he could take over the everyday role from Gleyber Torres. For the season, Chilsholm is slashing .249/.323/.407 with 14 doubles, 13 home runs and 50 RBI across 430 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Today, 1:01 pm
    • Blockbuster: Yankees acquiring Jazz Chisholm Jr.
ESPN’s Jeff Passan reports the Yankees are finalizing a trade with the Marlins for outfielder Jazz Chisholm Jr.

Advice: This certainly qualifies as a blockbuster as Chisholm, who won’t reach free agency until after the 2026 campaign, is heading to New York in exchange for three players, including top prospect Agustin Ramirez, who has posted an .862 OPS with 20 homers and 18 steals this season between Double-A Somerset and Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. The electrifying 26-year-old outfielder, who figures to move back to the infielder for New York, will inject some much-needed life as a top-of-the-order spark plug for a lifeless Yankees’ lineup. It’s a fascinating trade from a variety of standpoints, but it’s unquestionably a positive development for Chisholm’s immediate and long-term fantasy outlook that he’s headed to hitter-friendly Yankee Stadium to join a star-studded supporting cast. • Mish: Yankees deep in talks for Jazz Chisholm Jr.
The Miami Herald’s Craig Mish reports the Yankees are deep in talks with the Marlins on a trade to acquire outfielder Jazz Chisholm Jr.

Advice: Here we go. Mish adds that it’ll be three prospects coming back to Miami in a potential deal. It’s not across the finish line yet, but it certainly sounds like a deal could come together quickly over the next few hours. Stay tuned. Rotoworld Today, 12:47 pm
    • Placed on injured list
The Brewers placed Hudson on the 15-day injured list Saturday, retroactive to July 24, with a left oblique strain.

Advice: Hudson has been a key piece for the Brewers bullpen, boasting a 1.60 ERA with 54 strikeouts in 50.2 innings of work. However, he'll be forced to miss at least two weeks with a strained oblique. Tyler Jay was recalled from Triple-A Nashville in a corresponding move Rotowire.com Today, 12:32 pm

    • Bryan Hudson hits IL with left oblique strain
Brewers placed LHP Bryan Hudson on the 15-day injured list, retroactive to July 24, with a left oblique strain.

Advice: No word on the severity, which will determine how much time Hudson winds up missing. The 27-year-old southpaw has been an unexpected revelation this season in his Brewers debut, compiling a stellar 1.60 ERA, 0.75 WHIP and 54/13 K/BB ratio across 50 2/3 innings (35 appearances). It’s a pretty significant loss for Milwaukee’s bullpen at this stage of the year. Rotoworld Today, 12:21 pm
