    • Dodgers recall James Outman from Triple-A OKC
Dodgers recalled OF James Outman from Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Advice: The 27-year-old outfielder will replace the injured Jason Heyward (knee) on the Dodgers’ active roster. Outman really struggled during his time with the Dodgers to start the season (slashing .147/.250/.266 in 109 at-bats), but we’ve seen what he’s capable of during his breakout 2023 season. If he sees regular action against right-handed pitching while Heyward is shelved, he could be worth a look in deeper mixed leagues. Rotoworld Today, 4:16 pm

    • Dodgers place Jason Heyward (knee) on IL
Dodgers placed OF Jason Heyward on the 10-day injured list with a left knee contusion.

Advice: Heyward underwent a precautionary MRI exam on Friday that showed his meniscus and ligaments are intact, but the Dodgers still thought it was best to allow him a couple of weeks to heal up. James Outman was recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City in a corresponding move on Friday. Rotoworld Today, 4:15 pm

    • Heston Kjerstad sits against left-hander on Friday
Heston Kjerstad is not in the Orioles’ starting lineup for Friday night’s battle against the Athletics in Oakland.

Advice: Once again the 25-year-old slugger finds himself on the sideline with an opposing left-hander on the hill. Austin Hays will start in left field for the Orioles on Friday night and will bat sixth against Hogan Harris and the Athletics. Rotoworld Today, 4:07 pm
    • Returning from IL
Campusano (thumb) will be activated from the 10-day injured list Friday, AJ Cassavell of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Campusano has been on the injured list since June 22 due to a left thumb injury and has played four rehab games with Single-A Lake Elsinore, during which he went 2-for-15 with a homer and four RBI. The 25-year-old backstop said he will resume catching for the Padres on Sunday, per Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune, at which point he should take over for Kyle Higashioka as the Friars' primary backstop. Campusano has slashed .234/.282/.371 across 220 plate appearances this season. Rotowire.com Today, 3:37 pm
    • Brewers outright Owen Miller to Triple-A Nashville
Brewers sent INF/OF Owen Miller outright to Triple-A Nashville.

Advice: The versatile 27-year-old was removed from the team’s 40-man roster on Monday to make room for Garrett Mitchell. He passed through waivers unclaimed though and will continue to function as extra depth for the Brewers at the Triple-A level. Rotoworld Today, 3:09 pm

    • Completes rehab, role still TBD
Hall (knee) made what is expected to be his final rehab start for Triple-A Nashville on Thursday, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Advice: In his sixth and likely final appearance with Nashville since resuming a rehab assignment in mid-June, Hall worked three innings -- matching his total from his previous outing -- and allowed three unearned runs on three hits and three walks. While Hall still has a chance to make it as a starting pitcher, his usage on the farm suggests he won't work as a traditional starter upon his return this season. If he slots into a bulk-relief role, the lefty would have more fantasy appeal than he would if he were to be deployed as an opening pitcher in front of a bulk reliever. Rotowire.com Today, 6:28 am

    • Jason Heyward to undergo MRI on left knee
Jason Heyward will get an MRI on Friday after hurting his left knee during Thursday’s game.

Advice: Heyward was hurt on the landing after trying and failing to rob Joc Pederson of a homer. If it’s a significant injury, the Dodgers could recall James Outman to play against right-handers. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:31 pm

    • Set for MRI
Heyward will undergo an MRI on his knee Friday, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Advice: Heyward exited Thursday's game against Arizona after attempting to rob a home run and landing awkwardly in the first inning. He felt discomfort in his knee immediately and will be out of the lineup for at least Friday's game against Milwaukee. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:15 pm

    • Dealing with knee injury
Heyward exited Thursday's game against the Diamondbacks with left knee pain.

Advice: Heyward appeared to suffer the injury in the first inning while trying to rob a home run. The extent of the issue is unclear, though Miguel Vargas could benefit if Heyward is sidelined for additional time. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:28 pm
