    • Knocked around in loss
Cole (3-2) allowed six runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out four over 5.2 innings to take the loss versus the Mets on Wednesday.

Advice: Five of the six runs on Cole's line came from the three home runs he surrendered. He had posted consecutive quality starts before this setback. Cole's now at a 5.40 ERA, 1.46 WHIP and 38:12 K:BB through 35 innings over seven starts this season. The right-hander's reached 100 pitches in three straight outings, but he'll now need to find better consistency in the quality of his performances. He's projected to make his next start at Philadelphia. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:27 pm
    • Perfect at plate Wednesday
Bogaerts went 4-for-4 with a walk and two runs scored in Wednesday's 12-3 win over the Nationals.

Advice: Bogaerts kept his bat hot and had no trouble keeping the line moving in the blowout win. He's recorded six multi-hit efforts in seven games since he returned from a fractured left shoulder, going 14-for-29 (.483) in that span, though all of those hits have been singles. The infielder is slashing .255/.296/.338 with four home runs, 15 RBI, 26 runs scored and five stolen bases over 54 contests this season, but it appears fantasy managers will have to be patient in waiting for his power to return. • Productive in loss
Arozarena went 2-for-3 with a double, a walk, one RBI, a stolen base and two runs scored in Wednesday's 6-3 loss to the Blue Jays.

Advice: Arozarena has just three multi-hit efforts in July, but he's batting a hearty .288 with 11 extra-base hits, eight RBI and six steals over 18 contests this month. He seems to have more of a green light on the basepaths -- he stole a modest 10 bases over the first three months of the season and is now 16-for-23 on steals this year. The outfielder is still sporting a mediocre .213/.319/.398 slash line through 99 contests overall, but he's trending in the right direction. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:01 pm

    • Notches 10th steal
Springer went 0-for-3 with a walk, a stolen base and one run scored in Wednesday's 6-3 win over the Rays.

Advice: Springer has reached double digits in steals in each of the last three years. He's been fairly selective on the basepaths in 2024 -- he's logged 10 thefts without getting caught so far. The outfielder had gone 16 games without a steal before Wednesday, and he's hitting a respectable .279 (19-for-68) over 18 games in July. Springer is at a .227/.309/.390 slash line with 13 home runs, 40 RBI and 48 runs scored over 94 contests this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:53 pm
    • Nathan Eovaldi strikes out 10 in win
Nathan Eovaldi allowed two runs while striking out 10 batters over seven innings in a win over the White Sox on Wednesday.

Advice: Eovaldi tossed a clean first inning, then gave up a run on two base hits in the second. Luis Robert Jr. took him deep for a solo homer in the third. Eovaldi settled in nicely over four more scoreless frames, striking out 10 batters on the day with no walks. The 34-year-old right-hander will take an excellent 3.31 ERA, 1.04 WHIP, and a 104/26 K/BB ratio across 106 innings into a start against the Cardinals in St. Louis on Monday. • Swats homer, drives in two
Guerrero went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, a walk, an additional RBI and two total runs scored in Wednesday's 6-3 win over the Rays.

Advice: Guerrero plated the Blue Jays' first two runs with an RBI single in the first inning and a solo shot in the third. The first baseman has homered in five of his last six games, adding eight RBI in that span as he looks to make up for a slow start to the year. Overall, he's at a .296/.366/.488 slash line with 18 homers, 62 RBI, 52 runs scored, two stolen bases and 21 doubles through 100 contests in 2024. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:48 pm
    • Gerrit Cole lit up for three home runs by Mets
Gerrit Cole allowed eight hits and six earned runs on Wednesday in a loss to the Mets. He struck out four and walked two.

Advice: Cole could not keep his momentum going after two straight great starts just before and after the break. The Mets, who always have his number, teed off on him for three big flies and 10 hard-hit balls. Somehow, Cole has a 6.99 career ERA against the Mets and a 3.11 mark against every other team. His fastball didn’t have its usual life and his knuckle curve wasn’t cooperating either. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:38 pm
    • Vladimir Guerrero Jr. homers in win over Rays
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. went 2-for-3 with a home run, two runs scored, and two RBI to lead the Blue Jays to a 6-3 win over the Rays on Wednesday.

Advice: Guerrero Jr. put the Blue Jays on the board with a base hit in the first inning to score Spencer Horwitz from second. He then took Zach Elfin deep for a solo homer in the third, his fifth homer in his last six games. Guerrero Jr. was later intentionally walked in the eighth and scored on a base hit by Daulton Varsho. The 25-year-old slugger is slashing .296/.367/.488 with 18 homers, 52 runs scored, and 62 RBI across 436 plate appearances. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:37 pm
    • Randy Arozarena scores twice in loss to Blue Jays
Randy Arozarena went 2-for-3 with a double, two runs scored, an RBI, and a stolen base against the Blue Jays on Wednesday.

Advice: Arozarena had the first hit of the game for the Rays, leading off the fifth inning with a double. He came around to score on a single by Josh Lowe. He later tied the game with a base hit in the sixth. Arozarena then drew a walk and stole second before scoring a run in the ninth. The 29-year-old outfielder is slashing .213/.319/.398 with 15 homers, 45 runs scored, 36 RBI, and 16 steals across 404 plate appearances. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:33 pm
