      Advice: Darvish had to make an early exit from his start Wednesday against Miami due to hamstring problems, but the issue appears to instead be groin-related. His move to the IL is backdated to Thursday, allowing him to be eligible to return June 14. He will be joined by fellow starter Joe Musgrove (elbow) on the injured list while Randy Vasquez and Logan Gillaspie come up from Triple-A El Paso to take their places.       Padres placed RHP Yu Darvish on the 15-day injured list with a left groin strain.

      Advice: Darvish was originally believed to be dealing with a hamstring issue, but it turns out to be a groin strain that will keep him sidelined for at least a few weeks. The 37-year-old righty lasted just three innings on Wednesday against the Marlins before exiting due to hamstring tightness and holds a solid 3.20 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and a 53/15 K/BB ratio over 56 1/3 innings (11 starts) this season. The veteran is working on a modest four-game hitting streak, during which he's gone 7-for-15 with a home run and five RBI. The outfielder is already at 11 homers on the year while adding 27 RBI, eight stolen bases, 24 runs scored, four doubles and a triple over 162 plate appearances. The outfielder had been scuffling as of late, but the power didn’t go away.       Advice: Turang collected his fourth three-hit game of the season, batting in his customary leadoff spot against right-handed starters with Erick Fedde on the mound. The Brewers second baseman produced another solid month in May, hitting .284 (25-for-88) with one homer, five steals, nine RBI and nine runs scored.
