• Notches two steals Friday
Ohtani went 1-for-3 with a run, an RBI, two walks and two stolen bases Friday in a 4-3 extra-innings victory versus Atlanta.

Advice: Ohtani's first theft came in the third inning, and it led to Los Angeles' first run, as Will Smith followed with a two-out RBI single. It looked like Ohtani would be picked off in the eighth frame, but Matt Olson mishandled the throw to first base, allowing the Japanese superstar to make to second base safely. Ohtani later came up with a huge hit in the bottom of the 10th, stroking a one-out single to center field to plate the tying run after Atlanta had scored in the top of the frame. Ohtani continues to put up big numbers for the Dodgers and for his fantasy managers, as he's slashing .336/.405/.612 with seven homers, 20 RBI, 26 runs and seven steals (in seven attempts) through 153 plate appearances. • Slugs homer in victory Friday
Hernandez went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Friday's 4-3 extra-innings win against Atlanta.

Advice: Offense was sparse for both teams until extra innings, and Hernandez's solo shot in the fourth held up as the decisive margin until Ronald Acuna tied the score with a solo shot of his own in the eighth. Hernandez's long ball was his seventh of the season -- he's tied with Shohei Ohtani for the team lead in that category and ranks third with 23 RBI. Hernandez has slugged at least 22 homers in every full campaign since 2018 and is well on pace to meet that mark again in his first season as a Dodger. Rotowire.com 35 minutes ago
  • Starting Saturday
Sosa is starting at shortstop and batting eighth in Saturday's game against the Giants.

Advice: Sosa is set to takeover as the primary shortstop with Trea Turner landing on the 10-day IL with a left hamstring strain. Sosa has appeared in nine games this season and is 6-for-21 with two runs, one double, one home run and two RBI over that span. Rotowire.com 39 minutes ago

  • Garcia (lower back) could be available Saturday
Yimi Garcia (back) will throw before Saturday’s game to determine his availability.

Advice: Garcia has been unavailable while dealing with a lower back injury. The right-hander will throw before the game, and the Blue Jays will make a determination as to whether he’s available for the contest or not. Garcia has been outstanding in 2024 with a 0.68 ERA and 16/3 K/BB over 13 1/3 innings over 13 appearances. Rotoworld 40 minutes ago

  • Moved to 60-day IL
Atlanta transferred Perdomo (elbow) to the 60-day IL on Saturday.

Advice: Perdomo was placed on Atlanta's 15-day IL at the beginning of the season after undergoing Tommy John surgery last fall. He wasn't expected to pitch in 2025, and his move to the 60-day IL is to allow Atlanta to place right-hander Pierce Johnson on the 15-day injured list. Rotowire.com 46 minutes ago

  • Belts homer Friday
Machado went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run, an additional run and a walk Friday in a 7-1 victory versus Arizona.

Advice: Machado accounted for the Padres' final two runs in the victory with his fifth-inning blast. The homer extended his hitting streak to five games, though he's notched exactly one hit in each contest and is batting just .238 during that stretch. Machado does have six RBI during the hitting streak, though, which is more than he had accumulated in his previous 20 games combined. Rotowire.com 47 minutes ago
  • Marlins recall Bride from Triple-A to replace Arraez
Marlins recalled INF Jonah Bride from Triple-A Jacksonville.

Advice: Bride is up to take the roster spot of Luis Arraez after Arraez was traded to the Padres. Bride went 1-for-7 in his limited action with Miami earlier in the year, and he likely will only be a bench option while with the Marlins in this chance. Rotoworld 47 minutes ago

  • Returning Sunday
Manoah (shoulder) will start Sunday's game against the Nationals, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Advice: Manoah has been on the injured list with right shoulder inflammation since the beginning of the season. He's made five rehab starts in the minors -- four at Triple-A Buffalo -- and has given up 19 runs across 19.2 total innings while posting a 28:11 K:BB. However, the 26-year-old looked dominant in his most recent Triple-A outing Tuesday, giving up one earned run across six innings while punching out 12 batters and walking two. Manoah's performance Tuesday could be a sign that his struggles are finally behind him, though he remains an extremely risky streaming option given his lack of consistency. • Angel Perdomo (elbow) moves to 60-day IL
Angels transferred LHP Angel Perdomo from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day injured list.

Advice: It’s a procedural move that clears spot on the 40-man roster for Jackson Stephens. Perdomo will miss the majority — possibly all — of the 2024 season after undergoing Tommy John surgery last October. Rotoworld 55 minutes ago
