    • Plates pair in Friday's win
Raleigh went 1-for-3 with an RBI sacrifice fly and a run-scoring single in a win over the Angels on Friday.

Advice: Raleigh's timely hitting would prove to be essential in a one-run victory, with the backstop bringing home the first run of the game with a sacrifice fly in the opening frame before delivering a fifth-inning knock to plate J.P. Crawford and extend the Mariners' lead to 4-0 at the time. Raleigh had been mired in a 1-for-17 funk over the previous six games, however, and he's recorded just a sole extra-base hit over the 43 plate appearances spanning his last 12 games after lacing 14 over his first 41 contests of the campaign. • Jasson Domínguez homers again Friday at AA
Yankees OF prospect Jasson Domínguez (elbow) went 3-for-5 with a two-run homer and also stole a base on Friday in a minor league rehab game for Double-A Somerset.

Advice: Domínguez has been sizzling-hot at the plate on his rehab assignment with a stratospheric .977 OPS in 12 games between Low-A Tampa and Double-A Somerset. He’s homered three times in his last five contests. It’s unclear how the Yankees plan to proceed once the 21-year-old center fielder is ready to return to New York, but it’s looking like he’s going to force his way into their immediate plans if he keeps tearing the cover off the ball in the minors. • Pablo López strong for seven in beating Astros
Pablo López pitched seven innings of one-run ball Friday as the Twins downed the Astros 6-1.

Advice: López generated 17 missed swings tonight, 12 of them with his fastball. His peripherals would suggest that he’s had pretty awful luck this season, but he was in close to peak form tonight. The one run he allowed came on an Alex Bregman 348-foot homer that Statcast said was only a homer in four ballparks. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:40 pm

    • Spotted in walking boot
Wacha was wearing a walking boot on his left foot following Friday's loss to the Padres, Pete Grathoff of The Kansas City Star reports.

Advice: Wacha took a 90-mph line drive off his left foot during the first at-bat of Friday's contest. He was able to remain in the game and pitch 5.1 innings of two-run ball while logging two strikeouts, but it's obvious his shot to the foot has bothered him. The 32-year-old right-hander said after the game that he will undergo imaging Saturday, at which point he and the Royals will have a better idea as to how severe the damage is. • Michael Wacha in walking boot after Friday’s start
Michael Wacha was seen in a walking boot in the Royals’ clubhouse following Friday night’s start against the Padres.

Advice: Wacha was hit in the foot by a line drive by the very first batter during Friday’s start. He wound up staying in the game and giving up just two runs over 5 1/3 innings of work, but was sore after the game. The right-hander told reporters after the game that he’ll get some scans done on Saturday to see if any damage was done, but that he’s hoping for good news. Expect the Royals to provide an update on his status after Saturday’s imaging. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:49 pm

    • Returns to form in win
Lopez (5-5) earned the win in Friday's 6-1 victory over Houston, allowing one run on six hits and one walk over seven innings. He struck out nine.

Advice: Lopez appeared to be in the form that led him to a seventh place finish in the 2023 AL Cy Young race. The Minnesota right-hander generated an impressive 17 whiffs en route to his six punchouts while lowering his season ERA to 4.84 in 67 innings. The lone blemish on his evening was the 348-foot solo shot Alex Bregman hit into Houston's Crawford Boxes in the fourth inning. Lopez faces a difficult test in his next start -- he's lined up to face a formidable Yankees lineup in New York next week. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:36 pm

    • Three hits in return
Kwan went 3-for-4 with two runs scored, an RBI and a walk in Friday's win over the Nationals.

Advice: Kwan returned from the injured list after missing nearly the entire month of May but showed no signs of rust. He singled three times, including an RBI knock in the eighth inning. He's produced five multi-hit performances in his last eight appearances. Kwan owns a strong .365/.420/.504 slash line with 30 runs scored and a 12:12 BB:K through 150 plate appearances. • Steven Kwan goes 3-for-4 in return
Steven Kwan went 3-for-4 with two runs scored, an RBI, and a walk in a win over the Nationals on Friday.

Advice: Kwan didn’t miss a beat after spending nearly four weeks on the IL with a hamstring strain. He was slashing the ball all over the yard and in the middle of multiple Guardians’ rallies. His batting average is up to an astounding .365. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:38 pm

    • Edmundo Sosa powers Phillies past Cardinals
Edmundo Sosa clobbered a two-run homer on Friday night, powering the Phillies to a 4-2 victory over the visiting Cardinals.

Advice: The 28-year-old shortstop capped off a three-run rally in the second inning with his mammoth 439-foot (110.0 mph EV) two-run blast on the first pitch that he saw from Miles Mikolas. That would be his only hit in three at-bats on the night. Sosa has been swinging a very hot stick for the Phillies — slashing .307/.378/.591 with four long balls and 15 RBI in his first 99 plate appearances. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:58 pm
