• Andrew Vaughn homers again in rout of D-Backs
Andrew Vaughn went 2-for-5 with a homer and three RBI Saturday in a win over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: It’s been a fantastic June for Vaughn, even with the White Sox playing at an absolutely abhorrent level. The 26-year-old hit a two-run blast off Bryce Jarvis in the fifth, and the first baseman drove in another run with a single two innings earlier. Vaughn ended May with a .577 OPS, and the current slash of .227/.283/.386 helps tell the story of how good he’s been since. Rotoworld 26 minutes ago

  • Belts 11th homer
Olson went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run in a 9-2 win against Tampa Bay on Saturday.

Advice: Olson was part of a big fifth inning for Atlanta, swatting the team's third and final homer in the frame. The first baseman extended his hitting streak to nine contests, a stretch during which he is batting .361 (13-for-26) with two home runs and five RBI. Olson's 11 homers are second-most on Atlanta but are well off the pace of the 54 long balls he belted last season. Rotowire.com 30 minutes ago

  • Jake Cave triples, plates three in blowout win
Jake Cave went 3-for-5 with a triple and three RBI in a blowout win for the Rockies on Saturday over the Pirates.

Advice: Cave doubled in two in the fourth off Jared Jones, and singled in another run in the seventh. The triple was the third of the season for the speedy 31-year-old outfielder. Rotoworld Today, 8:58 pm

  • Toglia hits grand slam as Rockies clobber Pirates
Michael Toglia hit a grand slam in a blowout victory for the Rockies over the Pirates on Saturday.

Advice: Toglia turned a comfortable lead of 11-4 into a certified blowout with his grand slam off Dennis Santana. It’s the second time he’s cleared the bases and made it home on the same play in 2024, but the other one was a Little League slam against the Cardinals. Toglia has been awful thus far in his MLB career, and isn’t likely to have too many efforts like this even playing his home games in Colorado. Rotoworld Today, 8:58 pm

  • Hunter Goodman homers twice, drives in five
Hunter Goodman homered twice, picked up four hits and drove in five runs in a 16-4 shellacking of the Pirates on Saturday.

Advice: Goodman also scored three runs in a monster game for the 24-year-old. There haven’t been many for the infielder/backstop, but he showed off his impressive raw power with a pair of homers to center; one a solo shot and the other a two-run blast. Even with the big effort Goodman is only hitting .203/.247/.449, but that pop and his friendly home confines certainly make him a name to keep an eye on. Rotoworld Today, 8:57 pm

  • Jeimer Candelario has two hits, RBI in loss
Jeimer Candelario went 2-for-4 with an RBI in a loss to the Brewers on Saturday.

Advice: It’s been quite a month for Candelario, who is now 20-for-56 (.357) with six home runs and 14 RBI in 13 games in June. The 30-year-old will remain a fixture in the Reds’ lineup, even when Noelvi Marte returns, and is looking to continue the progress he showed last year with the Nationals and Cubs. He shouldn’t be on waiver wires anymore. Rotoworld Today, 7:34 pm

  • Homers, drives in three in win
Meneses went 1-for-3 with a home run and three RBI in a 4-0 win over the Marlins on Saturday.

Advice: Meneses opened the scoring with a sacrifice fly in the first inning then hit a two-run home run in the eighth. Meneses has enjoyed a modest five-game hit streak in which he has gone 7-for-15 with a homer and six RBI. Meneses had been losing out on playing time recently but is making the most of his opportunities since Joey Gallo (hamstring) hit the injured-list Wednesday. On the season, Meneses is slashing .244/.305/.332 with three home runs and 36 RBI over 243 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Today, 6:45 pm

  • Homers twice in win
Santander went 2-for-2 with two home runs and four RBI in a 6-2 win over the Phillies on Saturday.

Advice: Santander tied the game on a solo home run in the fourth inning then gave the Orioles the lead on a sacrifice fly in the sixth. He later added a two-run homer in the eighth. Santander continued his June power binge, homering for the eighth time in 15 contests this month. On the season, Santander is now slashing .231/.307/.498 with 17 home runs and 42 RBI hitting in the heart of one of the league's best lineups. Rotowire.com Today, 5:53 pm

  • Late addition to lineup
Montero will play first base and bat cleanup Saturday against Pittsburgh, Patrick Lyons of JustBaseball.com reports.

Advice: Brenton Doyle (knee) was scratched from the lineup Saturday, pushing Jake Cave to center field and Michael Toglia into right in order to open up a spot at first base for Montero. Montero has just two hits in his last 23 at-bats and has a .546 OPS on the year. Rotowire.com Today, 5:03 pm
