• Ready for rehab assignment
Faedo (hip) is scheduled to join Triple-A Toledo this week to begin a rehab assignment, MLB.com reports.

Advice: Faedo has been on the injured list for just under two weeks with right hip inflammation, so he'll likely need just one or two rehab appearances before he's cleared to rejoin the Detroit bullpen. After being deployed mostly in middle relief or long relief earlier in the season, Faedo had moved his way into higher-leverage spots prior to landing on the IL. In his last 11 appearances before being deactivated, Faedo notched one win and six holds. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 7:34 am

  • Cruises to easy win
Peterson allowed two runs on four hits and three walks over six innings Monday, striking out six and earning a win over the Rangers.

Advice: Peterson delivered a quality start as the Mets piled on 14 runs of support in the victory. He's earned three straight wins and has produced a quality start in two of his first four outings this season. He dropped his ERA to 3.97 with a 12:8 K:BB through 22.2 innings. Peterson also generated a season-high 11 whiffs, including six with his fastball. His next start is expected to be on the road against the Cubs. Rotowire.com Monday, 8:29 pm
  • Peterson wins third consecutive start Monday
David Peterson allowed two runs in six innings and got the win in the Mets’ 14-2 victory over the Rangers on Monday.

Advice: Peterson gave up four hits, walked three and struck out six. He’s now won three consecutive starts and the six strikeouts were a season-high. A former first round pick by the Mets in 2017, Peterson is once again getting a chance in the Mets’ rotation and seems to be making the most of it. He struggled with a 5.03 ERA in 27 appearances last year, but his 3.59 xFIP suggested he wasn’t quite that bad. He now has a 3.97 ERA in four starts this year. The 28-year-old left-hander is set to face the Cubs on the road this weekend.

  • Knocked around by Mets on Sunday
Estrada retired only one batter (via strikeout) while giving up four runs on five hits and one walk against the Mets on Sunday.

Advice: When Estrada entered in the bottom of the eighth inning, the Padres were only one run down after posting a four-run top of the frame. However, the reliever negated the comeback bid by allowing four runs of his own as New York racked up five hits -- including a homer and a double -- against him. Estrada began his tenure with San Diego in eye-opening fashion, allowing just two earned runs over his first 21 innings while recording a 35:7 K:BB. However, he's come back to earth in his past two outings, giving up five runs over 1.1 frames. Rotowire.com Monday, 10:37 am
  • Activation imminent
Gallegos (shoulder) could be activated from the 15-day injured list as soon as Monday, Katie Woo of The Athletic reports.

Advice: If Gallegos doesn't rejoin the 26-man active roster Monday, he could rejoin the St. Louis bullpen at some point during the club's three-game series with the Marlins, which runs through Wednesday. Gallegos has been out since early May with a right shoulder impingement and has struggled during his minor-league rehab assignment, allowing eight runs with a 5:4 K:BB over 6.1 innings. Prior to landing on the shelf, Gallegos posted a 12.00 ERA in 13 appearances with St. Louis. Gallegos will likely be deployed in low-leverage situations initially upon his return. • Giovanny Gallegos (shoulder) to return this week
Giovanny Gallegos (shoulder) is expected to return this week.

Advice: Gallegos has made a handful of minor league rehab appearances over the last few weeks and appears ready to rejoin the Cardinals’ bullpen mix at some point this week. He’s been on the shelf since early May recovering from a right shoulder impingement. Rotoworld Monday, 8:29 am
  • Moves past illness
Estrada (illness) struck out two and gave up an earned run on one hit and one walk over one inning out of the bullpen in Wednesday's 5-4 win over the Athletics.

Advice: Estrada relayed prior to Wednesday's game that he had been dealing with an illness, but it didn't deter the Padres from turning to him in the eighth inning while they faced a 3-2 deficit. Though Estrada let in a run to give the Athletics a 4-2 lead heading into the bottom of the eighth, Donovan Solano tied the game with a two-run home run later in the frame before Jackson Merrill hit a walk-off blast in the bottom of the ninth. Estrada hasn't been used since Wednesday, but with his bout with the illness now a few more days in the rear-view mirror, he should be available for Sunday's series finale against the Mets. • Bryse Wilson effective as follower in win
Bryse Wilson threw 5 1/3 innings as a bulk reliever in a win over the Reds on Saturday, striking out six and walking two.

Advice: Wilson didn’t miss many bats with just five whiffs on 33 swings for a 15 percent whiff rate and 27 percent CSW. He didn’t allow an extra-base hit on the day and now carries a 3.84 ERA into a game against the Padres next week. He’ll be more interesting in fantasy leagues if he continues to operate as a bulk reliever, but he’ll still be tough to trust against in that one. Rotoworld Saturday, 7:29 pm

  • Earns victory in bulk-relief role
Wilson (4-3) earned the win over Cincinnati on Saturday, pitching 5.1 scoreless innings during which he allowed three hits and two walks while striking out six batters.

Advice: Milwaukee opted to have Jared Koenig open the contest, and he notched two outs before Wilson entered with a runner on first base in the first inning. The right-hander closed that frame successfully, then kept the Reds off the scoreboard for five more innings before turning the game over to the bullpen. Wilson's excellent outing earned him his first victory since May 24. After opening the campaign in the bullpen, Wilson has been bouncing between a traditional starting role and bulk relief lately, and in either capacity he's pitched pretty well, giving up three or fewer earned runs in all but one of his 17 appearances this season.
