    • Escapes with no-decision
McKenzie came away with a no-decision in Tuesday's 8-5 win over the Royals, surrendering five runs on nine hits -- including three home runs -- and two walks over 5.1 innings. He struck out seven.

Advice: He was taken deep twice by Bobby Witt and once by Hunter Renfroe as McKenzie dug a 5-0 hole through four innings, but the Guardians were able to climb out of it. The right-hander's suddenly having trouble keeping the ball in the park -- after serving up only six homers over his first nine starts of the season, McKenzie's coughed up multiple long balls in three straight outings and has a 7.04 ERA over that stretch. He'll try to turn things around in his next trip to the mound, which is scheduled to come on the road this weekend in Miami. Rotowire.com Today, 7:28 am

    • On base four times in win
Marte went 3-for-4 with a walk and a run scored in Tuesday's win over the Giants.

Advice: Marte notched three hits for the second time over his last three games and for the seventh time this season. He now has at least a hit in five of his last six games and boasts a 4:3 BB:K over that span as well. For the year, the 30-year-old is slashing .278/.337/.502 with 12 homers, 32 RBI, 40 runs and a 21:51 BB:K in 270 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Today, 6:59 am

    • Homers in return from quad injury
Lewis went 1-for-1 with a home run and two walks in Tuesday's loss to the Yankees.

Advice: He got the start at third base in just his second game of the season after being injured Opening Day and missing nearly 10 weeks due to a strained right quad. Lewis is remarkably 3-for-3 with two home runs in those two games. It was a good sign for his health that he played defense as opposed to being eased into action at DH, but Lewis figures to get a day or two off over the next week as he gets back up to full speed. • Royce Lewis homers against Yankees in return
Royce Lewis clubbed a solo homer and walked twice on Tuesday in the Twins’ loss to the Yankees.

Advice: Of course. Lewis made an immediate impact in his return to Minnesota’s lineup on Tuesday night in New York, taking Yankees veteran reliever Tommy Kahnle deep for a seventh-inning solo shot to left field. The 25-year-old reached base safely in all three of his plate appearances and has two homers in just two games played on the year. The central question for fantasy managers moving forward is whether he can stay on the field for an extended period to establish himself as an elite fantasy contributor at the hot corner. • Anthony Volpe extends on-base streak to 30 games
Anthony Volpe singled on Tuesday in the Yankees’ win over the Twins, extending his on-base streak to 30 consecutive games.

Advice: Volpe extended his on-base streak, which is tied with teammate Aaron Judge for the longest in baseball this season, by slicing a third-inning single into shallow right field before racing around the bases to score on Judge’s two-run double later in the frame. • McKenzie hit hard in no-decision against Royals
Triston McKenzie allowed five runs on nine hits in 5 1/3 innings in a no-decision against the Royals on Tuesday.

Advice: McKenzie allowed four extra-base hits on the day but three of them were home runs, including two by Bobby Witt Jr. The lanky right-hander was able to pitch well after word came out that he was pitching through a tear in his throwing elbow; however, he’s now allowed 12 earned runs over 15 1/3 innings in his last three starts. McKenzie’s off-speed pitches posted 10 whiffs on 19 swings, but his four-seam fastball didn’t miss bats and got hit hard. Given his injury and lack of velocity, McKenzie is walking a tightrope and doesn’t need to be held in all fantasy leagues. He now has a 4.16 ERA on the season heading into a tasty matchup against the Marlins on Sunday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:13 pm

    • Kris Bryant remains out Tuesday with rib soreness
Kris Bryant (rib) remains out of the lineup for Tuesday’s game against the Reds.

Advice: Bryant will sit out his second consecutive contest due to lingering rib soreness stemming from a twisting catch during the club’s previous series against the Dodgers. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day for now. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:32 pm

    • Idle Tuesday
McCormick is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Cardinals, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Advice: McCormick has just one hit in his last 16 at-bats and will take a seat for the second time in four games. Yordan Alvarez, Jake Meyers and Mauricio Dubon fill the outfield from left to right. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:13 pm

    • Idle Tuesday
Bryant (back) isn't part of the starting nine Tuesday against the Reds.

Advice: Bryant missed Monday's series opener with back soreness and will once again be held out of the lineup due to the issue. Charlie Blackmon will DH and lead off while Hunter Goodman fills out the lineup in right field. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:58 pm
