    • Ketel Marte goes yard in win over Braves
Ketel Marte went 2-for-4 with a home run and two runs scored against the Braves on Wednesday.

Advice: Marte took Charlie Morton deep for a solo homer in the third inning, then knocked a base hit in the eighth before scoring on a sacrifice fly by Geraldo Perdomo. The 30-year-old second baseman is up to 18 homers while slashing .283/.351/.506 with 62 runs scored, 52 RBI, and four steals across 393 plate appearances. Rotoworld Today, 9:15 pm

    • Getting night off
Smith is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Phillies.

Advice: The newly minted All-Star will get a breather Wednesday while Austin Barnes receives a turn behind the dish. Smith was one of the few bright spots for the Dodgers in Tuesday's 10-1 loss in the series opener, going 2-for-4 with a walk in the blowout. Rotowire.com Today, 3:30 pm

    • Walker Buehler continues to work on mechanics
Dodgers’ manager Dave Roberts told reporters on Wednesday that right-hander Walker Buehler is continuing to work on his mechanics at Cressey Sports Performance in Florida.

Advice: “I can say there’s progress.. but I really can’t speak intelligently what that progress is. I really can’t” Roberts admitted on Wednesday. There’s still no clear timetable for his potential return, but the fact that he’s fully recovered from his injury and has been throwing regular bullpen sessions bodes well for a quick ramp up if the Dodgers need him back. Hopefully he’s able to correct whatever was ailing him as he registered a 5.84 ERA and 1.51 WHIP over 37 innings though his first eight starts on the year. Rotoworld Today, 2:44 pm

    • Bryan Woo set to start for Mariners on Friday
Bryan Woo (hamstring) is expected to start for the Mariners on Friday against the Angels.

Advice: M’s skipper Scott Servais had told reporters on Tuesday that Woo would start one of the games during their four-game weekend series, and now it looks like Friday will be the official day for his return. Woo has been sidelined since late June with a right hamstring strain. Rotoworld Today, 2:10 pm

    • Might return without rehab games
Yankees manager Aaron Boone said Wednesday that Stanton (hamstring) could skip a rehab assignment and return from the 10-day injured list shortly after the All-Star break, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Stanton did some running Tuesday and has been reincorporating baseball activities into his training regimen of late as he works his way back from a strained left hamstring. He'll need to do some more ramping up before the Yankees are confident that he's ready for game action, but bypassing a rehab assignment would shorten the length of his absence a bit. • Giancarlo Stanton may not need rehab assignment
Yankees’ manager Aaron Boone said Wednesday that Giancarlo Stanton (hamstring) may not need a minor league rehab assignment before returning from the injured list.

Advice: Boone noted that Staton could be ready to go immediately following the All-Star break, or shortly afterwards. The 34-year-old slugger had been sidelined since June 23 due to a mild left hamstring strain. Before landing on the injured list, he had been hitting .246/.302/.492 with 18 homers and 45 RBI through his first 69 contests. Rotoworld Today, 1:47 pm

    • Delivers winning run
Garcia went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 5-4 win over the Angels.

Advice: Garcia, who received a mental day off Sunday, delivered the winning hit Tuesday with his eighth-inning blast. The outfielder has gone 4-for-27 (.148) to open July, but three of those hits have gone for extra bases. He's now at a .215/.279/.417 slash line with 17 homers, 45 RBI, 47 runs scored and seven stolen bases across 87 contests this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:39 pm

    • May go on rehab stint after break
Stanton (hamstring) could begin a minor-league rehab assignment later in July, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

Advice: It doesn't appear that Stanton will be ready to rejoin the Yankees immediately after the All-Star break, but he could begin playing in rehab games around that time. The slugger has been running on a treadmill and hitting, though he hasn't yet resumed on-field activities, per MLB.com. It's not yet clear how many rehab games Stanton would be asked to play, but there remains a chance he's activated off the IL before the start of August. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:14 pm

    • Reaches six times, swipes two bags
Ramirez went 3-for-3 with an RBI single, a double, two runs scored, two stolen bases and three intentional walks in Tuesday's 9-8 extra-inning win over the Tigers.

Advice: Ramirez had a monster game Tuesday, joining Vladimir Guerrero as the only two players since 1961 to be walked intentionally three times and steal two bases in a game. Ramirez also reached 77 RBI for the season in the process, breaking a tie with Albert Belle for the third most by a Cleveland player before the All-Star break. Ramirez is up to 18 steals on the season to go along with a .275/.331/.533 slash line. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:42 pm
