    • Battling elbow inflammation
Fry was removed from Sunday's game against Toronto due to right elbow inflammation, Zack Meisel of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Fry delivered an RBI single during the first inning of Sunday's contest before being replaced behind the plate by Bo Naylor in the third. The Guardians are currently viewing Fry as day-to-day, though he will likely undergo further testing to determine the extent of his injury. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:16 pm

    • David Fry leaves game with elbow inflammation
David Fry was removed from Sunday’s game against the Blue Jays due to right elbow inflammation.

Advice: The positive news here is that Fry’s early exit isn’t related to a possible head injury or concussion. The bad news is that he’s probably going to be sent for some further evaluation and imaging to determine the extent of the issue. The 28-year-old backstop has been an unexpected revelation this season for fantasy managers, so the hope here is that his exit was merely for precautionary reasons. He’s presumably day-to-day for now. Rotoworld Yesterday, 12:09 pm

    • David Fry leaves game Sunday with possible injury
David Fry made an early exit from Sunday’s game against the Blue Jays with a potential injury.

Advice: MLB.com’s Henry Palattella adds that Fry was apparently struck in the head by a practice swing from Danny Jansen in the opening frame, so it’s highly likely he’s been lifted from the contest for precautinary reasons to undergo testing for a possible concussion. There should be an update on his status shortly. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:34 am

    • Sitting Sunday
Lowe (toe) is not in the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Pirates, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Advice: Lowe will sit for the series finale Sunday after sustaining a broken pinky toe on a hit-by-pitch in the first inning of Saturday's 4-3 loss to Pittsburgh. Lowe isn't expected to be placed on the IL and will be available to pinch hit Sunday, per Topkin. Richie Palacios will start at second base Sunday and bat fifth against Pirates right-hander Paul Skenes. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:18 am

    • Not starting Sunday
Arenado (forearm) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game versus the Giants.

Advice: Arenado exited early in Saturday's 9-4 win due to discomfort in his left forearm. According to Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat, Arenado received an injection to alleviate the pain, and the Cardinals still waiting to see how the veteran third baseman responds to the shot before determining his availability for their upcoming three-game set with Atlanta that begins Monday. Brandon Crawford will pick up a start at the hot corner Sunday and bat eighth while Arenado rests. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:14 am

    • Brandon Lowe sitting out Sunday with fractured toe
Brandon Lowe is not in the lineup for Sunday’s series finale against the Pirates.

Advice: The positive news here is that Lowe hasn’t been placed on the injured list yet after suffering a fractured right pinky toe during Saturday’s game when he was hit by a pitch. The 29-year-old second baseman is day-to-day for now. There should be some clarity on his status in a couple days, if not sooner, depending on whether he’s feeling well enough to return. • Adley Rutschman leading off Sunday vs. southpaw
Adley Rutschman is leading off on Sunday against the Astros.

Advice: Rutschman has been bumped up to the leadoff spot for the first time all season on Sunday afternoon with southpaw Framber Valdez toeing the rubber for Houston. Gunnar Henderson has compiled solid numbers this season against left-handed pitching and will bat cleanup in this one. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:31 am

    • Nolan Arenado out Sunday with forearm discomfort
Nolan Arenado (forearm) is absent from the lineup for Sunday’s series finale against the Giants.

Advice: Arenado has gotten banged up physically over the last few days as he’s been dealing with a right elbow issue stemming from a hit by pitch earlier this week and also left Saturday’s game early with left forearm discomfort. The fact that he hasn’t been put on the injured list is a positive indicator that he’s still day-to-day for now. The 33-year-old received a pain-reducing injection on Sunday morning and is hoping to be available to pinch-hit, if needed. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:25 am

    • Goes yard again
Kwan went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a double in Saturday's 6-3 win over the Blue Jays.

Advice: Kwan saw a 14-game hitting streak end Friday with an 0-for-4 performance, but he rebounded nicely Saturday. The homer was his third in June, and he's added six doubles, 10 RBI and 16 runs scored this month. The outfielder has matched his career high with six long balls, and with over half of the season to go, he has a reasonable chance at double digits. He's slashing a fantastic .390/.449/.564 with 22 RBI, 45 runs scored, three stolen bases, 12 doubles and two triples over 48 contests. Rotowire.com Saturday, 7:05 pm
