    • Masyn Winn collects first homer of 2024
Masyn Winn’s first homer of the season with was a two-run shot off Boston’s Cam Booser in Friday’s win.

Advice: Winn hit the ball 402 feet, which was far and away his longest drive of the season. He previously had a 379-foot double off Sean Manaya, but he hadn’t hit anything else over 350 feet in 142 plate appearances. Winn has been perfectly solid in batting .280/.343/.384 this year, but his profile doesn’t suggest that he’ll be hitting many more homers in his first full season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:52 pm

    • Swats homer in win
Gorman went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 10-6 win over the Red Sox.

Advice: Gorman's bat is coming around -- he's 6-for-19 (.316) with two homers and four RBI over his last six games. The second baseman took Boston starter Brayan Bello deep in the second inning of this contest. Gorman is up to a .193/.288/.370 slash line with six homers, 16 RBI, 14 runs scored, no stolen bases and six doubles through 153 plate appearances, and he's not helping his cause to remain in an everyday role with a 34.6 percent strikeout rate. While the threat isn't immediate, Gorman could be one of the players to see a reduced role once Tommy Edman (wrist) is able to return to action. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:43 pm

    • Hits first homer of season
Winn went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Friday's 10-6 win over the Red Sox.

Advice: Winn has done a lot of things right this season, but he didn't have a homer until he took Boston reliever Cam Booser deep in the sixth inning. The shortstop has hit safely in nine of his last 10 games, going 11-for-34 (.324) in that span. Winn is up to a .280/.343/.384 slash line with 10 RBI, 12 runs scored, seven stolen bases, six doubles and three triples through 142 plate appearances in a near-everyday role. • Skubal allows one hit over six to improve to 6-0
Tarik Skubal allowed one hit in six scoreless frames to help the Tigers to a 13-0 drubbing of the Diamondbacks on Friday.

Advice: Skubal didn’t issue a walk and struck out six while improving to 6-0 on the season. The southpaw has had no issue carrying over the dominant finish to his 2023 campaign, and this strong outing lowered his ERA to 1.80 with a remarkable 66/8 K/BB. Simply put, SKubal has established himself as one of the true fantasy aces in baseball right now. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:23 pm
    • Six shutout innings for sixth win
Skubal (6-0) allowed just one hit and struck out six over six shutout innings to earn the win Friday over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: The Tigers' offense was explosive Friday, but Skubal was excellent in his own right in his best outing of the campaign. This was his sixth straight quality start, as well as the fourth time he's avoided walking a batter this season. The southpaw is now at a 1.80 ERA, 0.78 WHIP and 66:8 K:BB through 55 innings over nine starts. He's projected to make his next start at Kansas City. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:12 pm
    • Ronald Acuña Jr. back in the lineup on Friday
Ronald Acuña Jr. is back in the lineup, batting first for the Braves against the Padres on Friday.

Advice: Acuña received the day off on Wednesday as the Braves look for him to break out of his slump. He went 0-for-5 at the plate on Tuesday, which dropped his average to .245 on the season. Acuña’s .696 OPS is the lowest of his career. Hopefully the short break helps him get on track. Rotoworld Yesterday, 12:46 pm
    • Starting as designated hitter
Santander (knee) is in the starting lineup as the designated hitter for Friday's matchup against the Mariners.

Advice: Santander hurt his knee in Wednesday's 3-2 win over the Blue Jays after first colliding with the outfield wall and then hitting it again during a slide, which led to his exit from the game. The veteran outfielder will be eased back into the lineup at designated hitter while Ryan O'Hearn mans right field. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:25 pm

    • Takes live batting practice
Swanson (knee) took live batting practice Friday, Ryan Herrera of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Swanson landed on the 10-day injured list a week ago with a right knee injury. He'll be eligible for activation Saturday, but while it appears he is making progress, it seems unlikely that he will be ready at that time. With Nico Hoerner (hamstring) also banged up, the Cubs' shortstop depth has thinned, and Miles Mastrobuoni has started the last three games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:27 am

    • Gelof knocks in run Thursday
Zack Gelof went 1-for-3 with an RBI against the Astros on Thursday.

Advice: It was a quiet night for the Oakland offense. Gelof recorded his first hit and RBI in his third game since returning from the IL. He needs to regain his power stroke if he’s even going to approach the impact fantasy managers expected from him before the season. Rotoworld Thursday, 8:25 pm
