      Wisely went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in Friday's 5-3 win over the Dodgers.

      Advice: Wisely's third homer of the year was a walk-off blast against Dodgers reliever Blake Treinen. Since June 10, Wisely has gone 17-for-55 (.309) with two homers and seven RBI across 14 contests. He's at a .304/.333/.461 slash line with three homers, 14 RBI, 13 runs scored, one stolen base and seven doubles over 108 plate appearances this season. While the Giants have valued Wisely for his defensive versatility, he has most often been stuck in a platoon at shortstop. That could change after second baseman Thairo Estrada (wrist) went on the injured list Friday, though it's also possible Wisely continues to sit against southpaws in favor of Tyler Fitzgerald during Estrada's absence.       Advice: The 27-year-old slugger consistently got himself into scoring position, but the rest of the Houston lineup had trouble bringing him around. Since missing a couple games earlier in the month to attend to a personal matter, Alvarez has gone 9-for-27 (.333) in seven contests with three doubles, two homers, four RBI and five runs.       Zack Gelof stole a base and went 3-for-4 in a win over the Diamondbacks on Friday.

      Advice: Gelof also scored two runs and drew a walk for a big fantasy night for the second-year 24-year-old. One of the hits was a triple — his second of the season — and his steal gives him nine of the season. it’s nice to see some success for Gelof as a reminder that there’s some long-term potential in his bat, as a .205/.259/.352 slash doesn’t exactly scream fantasy upside.       Lourdes Gurriel went 2-for-4 with a homer and two RBI in a loss to the A’s on Friday.

      Advice: Gurriel drove in a run in the first with an RBI single, and he clobbered a solo homer to tie the game at 3-3 in the sixth; both of those hits coming off JP Sears. The veteran outfielder has been inconsistent — something that has followed him for most of his career — but the two-hit night has his average up to .267 and his OPS up to .723 with 11 homers and 47 RBI through 303 at-bats.       Shea Langeliers homered and stole a base in the Athletics’ 9-4 win over the Diamondbacks on Friday.

      Advice: Langeliers isn’t exactly known for his speed, but he was able to procure his third steal of the season. The power is a little more readily apparent, and he hit one of three homers in the ninth inning for the A’s to give him 15 on the year and Oakland an 8-4 lead.       Devers went 1-for-2 with a walk and a solo home run in Friday's 9-2 loss to the Padres.

      Matt Chapman stole a base and hit a two-run homer in a win for the Giants on Friday over the Dodgers.

      Advice: Chapman hit a two-run homer off Daniel Hudson for his 10th homer of the season, and he stole his seventh bag of the year for good measure. The 31-year-old has been a mild disappointment thus far in 2024 — depending on expectations, of course — with a .235/.316/.399 slash, but the homers and steals have help balance things out a bit.       Advice: Baseball can be funny. Wisely hit a ball that just went foul that the Giants challenged went fair, and instead of what might have been a double, he ends up with a walk-off blast off Blake Treinen.       Advice: Miranda is 18-for-49 (.367) over his last 15 contests, adding eight extra-base hits and 14 RBI in that span. The third baseman's streak of drawing a walk in five straight games ended Friday, but he's still showing good plate discipline with a 5.6 percent walk rate and 14.1 percent strikeout rate. For the year, Miranda is slashing .293/.339/.491 with eight home runs, 35 RBI, 26 runs scored and two steals over 65 contests.
