    • José Alvarado gives up game-tying homer to Rockies
José Alvarado took a blown save after giving up a game-tying homer to Jacob Stallings in the ninth inning Friday against the Rockies.

Advice: Alvarado has a couple of losses, but this is his first blown save to go along with nine saves and four holds. He’s still the clear favorite for saves in Philadelphia. Incredibly, he’s walked just two batters in his last 18 appearances, spanning 16 2/3 innings. Rotoworld May 24, 11:49 pm

    • Picks up 11th save
Foley set down the lone batter he faced to pick up the save in Friday's 6-2 win over Toronto.

Advice: Andrew Chafin recorded the first two outs in the ninth inning before allowing four consecutive base hits, allowing the Blue Jays to get the tying run to the plate. However, Foley would come on in relief to set down Danny Jansen for the final out, earning his 11th save this season. Foley's ERA is down to 2.41 on the year with a 1.34 WHIP and 16:7 K:BB across 18.2 innings. Rotowire.com May 24, 10:57 pm

    • Kutter Crawford surrenders six runs in defeat
Kutter Crawford lasted only 4 1/3 innings and gave up six runs Friday in a loss to the Brewers.

Advice: Crawford allowed only five hard-hit balls on the night, but he couldn’t stop the bleeding in either the third or the fifth, giving up three runs each inning. After opening up with a 0.66 ERA in his first five starts, Crawford has come in at 4.64 in his last six outings. He’ll pitch in Baltimore next time out, making him a mediocre play in mixed leagues. • Suffers first blown save
Alvarado blew the save Friday against the Rockies. He allowed one run on two hits and no walks over one inning while striking out two.

Advice: Alvarado looked to be cruising to another save after striking out Jordan Beck and Hunter Goodman to start the bottom of the ninth inning. However, pinch hitter Jacob Stallings and his career .340 slugging percentage had different plans, crushing a 427-foot solo home run to hand Alvarado his first blown save in 2024. The flame-throwing lefty sports a 3.63 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 23:8 K:BB in 22.1 innings this season. Rotowire.com May 24, 8:45 pm
