      Snell (groin) struck out nine over five scoreless innings in his rehab start Wednesday with Triple-A Sacramento. He allowed no hits and issued one walk.

      Advice: Making his third rehab start with Sacramento since landing on the 15-day injured list June 3, Snell made quick work of the Reno lineup, needing just 67 pitches (46 strikes) to record 15 outs. Based on how well he performed in addition to increasing his workload, Snell should be ready to return from the IL next week to make his next start with the Giants.       Advice: Walker was at it again Thursday, going back-to-back with Joc Pederson in the opening frame for the first baseman's first home run of the contest before then smacking a two-run shot in his next at-bat. The 33-year-old has now clubbed two home runs in back-to-back games and has gone deep in three consecutive games overall. Furthermore, Thursday marked his fourth straight game with multiple RBI and his fifth straight game with multiple hits.       Eflin (5-5) picked up the win over the Royals on Thursday, allowing six runs (five earned) on seven hits and one walk over five innings while striking out three.

      Advice: Eflin didn't have his best stuff Thursday, surrendering at least one run in four of the six innings in which he appeared. Despite those struggles, the veteran right-hander was able to secure his fifth win of the season and the fourth win in his last five decisions (spanning nine starts). Eflin has now gone at least five innings in five consecutive starts, though he's given up multiple runs in four of those outings, raising his ERA to 4.19 on the season.       Christian Walker hit two more homers and walked twice Thursday as the Diamondbacks dominated the Dodgers 9-3.

      Advice: Walker also homered twice Thursday. He has nine homers in nine games against the Dodgers this season, compared to 12 in 78 games against everyone else. He finished with his ninth multi-hit game over his past 12 contests, a stretch during which he's batting a blistering .467 (21-for-45) with Thursday's homer, six RBI, 13 runs and two stolen bases.     • Eflin picks up fifth win against Royals Thursday
      Zach Eflin allowed six runs (five earned) in five innings and got the win in the Rays’ 10-8 victory over the Royals on Thursday.



      Advice: Eflin gave up seven hits, walked one and struck out three. The win was his fifth of the season. The Royals started scoring with a Michael Massey solo home run in the second inning. Kansas City scored twice in the third inning on a Bobby Witt Jr. sacrifice fly and RBI single by Vinnie Pasquantino. Pasquantino had an RBI groundout in the fifth inning. The sixth inning started with a Richie Palacious error which allowed Michael Massey to reach and Hunter Renfroe chased Eflin with an RBI single. Renfroe ended up scoring later in the inning with the run charged to Eflin. This season has been a nightmare for Eflin drafters as he hasn’t come close to repeating the career year he had last year. The 30-year-old right-hander is set to face the Yankees on the road next week.

      Advice: Ramos had a quiet stretch in the later part of June, but he's now bounced back with four multi-hit efforts over his last five games. In that span, he's hit two homers and two doubles while driving in five runs.
