      Advice: Yelich collected his first five-hit game of 2024 and fifth of his career, achieving the feat for the first time since Aug. 17, 2019. The former MVP has been resurgent since returning from a back injury May 8, hitting .321 (25-for-78) with one homer, six stolen bases, 16 RBI and 14 runs scored.       Advice: The Brew Crew were able to pick up 23 hits and six walks against the overmatched White Sox. Yelich was responsible for nearly a quarter of those, and two of them were double, giving him six on the season. The steal was the eighth, and Yelich continues to impress when on the field in 2024 with a .325/.406/.564 slash. It’s fun to see a the MVP version of Yelich thus far.       Carpenter has been diagnosed with a lumbar spine stress fracture, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.

      Advice: Carpenter was placed on the 10-day injured list earlier this week with what was called lumbar spine inflammation, but further testing appears to have revealed a more significant injury. The Tigers have not divulged a potential timetable for Carpenter's return, but his absence could be a lengthy one.
