The 26-year-old has made a swift recovery from his right oblique strain, a recurrence of a previous injury that had kept him on the shelf for the first five weeks of the season. Once activated, Lowe will likely move between center field, right field and designated hitter while occupying a prominent spot in the lineup against right-handed pitching.       Luis Castillo delivered a dominant performance in Sunday afternoon’s victory over the Angels, allowing just two hits and three walks over seven shutout innings.

      Advice: Castillo piled up six strikeouts in the impressive outing. The only real threat against him came in the fourth inning as the Angels used a pair of walks to put two men on with two outs for Jo Adell — who Castillo got to fly out harmlessly to center field. The 31-year-old hurler generated a staggering 21 swings and misses on 102 pitches in the contest — 13 of them on his fastball alone — while posting a strong CSW of 30 percent. He allowed four runs in each of his first three starts of the season, but he hasn't given up more than three runs in any of his last 10 appearances, nine of which went down as quality starts.       Jeimer Candelario went 2-for-5 with an RBI against the Cubs on Saturday.

      Advice: It was a relatively quiet night for the Reds offense. Despite scoring five runs, four of them were unearned thanks to an error by Cubs outfielder Seiya Suzuki. Candelario chipped in later with an RBI single. After hitting .189 in April, he hit .247 with three home runs in 24 games in May.
