    • Back from IL
The Angels reinstated Sano (knee) from the 10-day injured list Tuesday.

Advice: Knee inflammation has kept Sano sidelined since the beginning of May. He was medically cleared to return from the IL on Saturday; however, poor performance during his assignment combined with a cluttered Angels roster caused him to remain at Triple-A Salt Lake for a few additional days. He went 6-for-10 with a homer and four RBI in his last two rehab games and will now rejoin the Halos' infield unit, replacing Michael Stefanic. Rotowire.com Today, 2:46 pm

    • Brandon Drury out fifth straight game due to illness
Brandon Drury (illness) remains out of the lineup for Tuesday’s game against the Athletics.

Advice: Drury has managed to somehow avoid a trip to the injured list, but he remains out of Los Angeles’ lineup for the fifth consecutive contest due to an ongoing battle with a respiratory virus. It’ll be defensive ace Luis Guillorme filling in at the keystone in his ongoing absence. Rotoworld Today, 2:40 pm

    • Angels activate Miguel Sanó for Tuesday return
Angels activated INF Miguel Sanó from the 10-day injured list.

Advice: Sanó is back with Los Angeles following a two-month absence due to a left knee injury, and a bizarre setback when he suffered a serious burn after falling asleep with a heating pad on that same knee. The 31-year-old slugger has one round-tripper in 21 games this season for the Angels. Rotoworld Today, 2:34 pm

    • Angels option Michael Stefanic to Triple-A
Angels optioned INF Michael Stefanic to Triple-A Salt Lake.

Advice: Stefanic has been shipped back to the minors to free up an active roster spot for Miguel Sanó to return from the injured list. The 28-year-old infielder’s stellar minor-league numbers haven’t translated to the highest level over the last few years as he holds a .601 OPS with zero homers in 175 plate appearances over 60 games for Los Angeles since 2022. • Angels activate and option Chase Silseth
Angels activated RHP Chase Silseth from the 60-day injured list; optioned him to Triple-A Salt Lake.

Advice: Silseth has struggled in a handful of minor league rehab starts over the last few weeks and will get some additional time out of the spotlight in the minors to continue ironing things out. The 24-year-old showed some extremely promising signs during spring training, but struggled in a pair of early-season starts prior to landing on the shelf with elbow inflammation. • Angels transfer Patrick Sandoval to 60-day IL
Angels transferred LHP Patrick Sandoval to the 60-day injured list.

Advice: Sandoval was in the midst of one of the better stretches of his career before suffering a serious left elbow injury during last Friday’s start against the Dodgers. The 27-year-old southpaw will undergo season-ending surgery in the near future and is expected to miss a significant chunk, if not all, of the 2025 campaign as well. Rotoworld Today, 2:30 pm

    • Luis Garcia (elbow) ready for rehab assignment
Luis Garcia (elbow) will make a minor league rehab start this weekend in the Rookie-level Florida Complex League.

Advice: Astros manager Joe Espada divulged to reporters that Garcia is ready to begin a minor league rehab assignment as he continues to work his way back from last year’s Tommy John surgery. The 27-year-old righty is going to need at least a couple weeks to build up before he’s ready to make his season debut. Fantasy managers shouldn’t expect him back until some point after next month’s All-Star break. Rotoworld Today, 2:15 pm

    • Available to pinch hit Monday
Drury (illness) went through a workout before Monday's game against the Athletics and will be available off the bench, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Advice: Drury has been held out of the lineup since Saturday due to an upper respiratory virus, but he's close to returning to the starting lineup. Michael Stefanic draws the start at second base Monday with Drury available off the bench. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:33 pm

    • Tyler Black takes seat against right-hander
Tyler Black is on the bench against a righty Monday for the first time since being recalled last week.

Advice: Black sat against a lefty in his first day back in the majors, but he had started versus four straight righties since. Tonight, though, the Brewers wanted to give Christian Yelich a day off his feet and put him in the DH spot. Black is 3-for-11 with three walks since being recalled. The Brewers aren’t currently interested in putting Black anywhere other than first base or DH, so when Yelich or someone else besides Rhys Hoskins DHs, there’s no room for Black.
