Jazz Chisholm Jr. homers twice against Phillies
Jazz Chisholm Jr. went 2-for-4 with two homers and three RBI on Monday in the Yankees’ blowout win over the Phillies.
Advice: Chisholm is making quite the first impression in New York as he looked capable in a couple chances at the hot corner in his professional debut there, and also injected some life into New York’s lineup with his first multi-homer effort of the season, in just his second game in Pinstripes. He kicked things off with a second-inning solo shot off Phillies ace Zack Wheeler before taking backup catcher Garrett Stubbs deep for a two-run blast in the ninth inning. As we’ve been saying for decades now, garbage time homers count just as much for fantasy purposes. The dynamic 26-year-old speedster is up to 15 big flies this season and appears poised for a strong final two months as part of New York’s formidable lineup. It feels like only a matter of time before he’s moved up to the leadoff spot, but he’ll presumably continue batting in the middle of the order for now.
