Dodgers to promote Miguel Vargas from Triple-A
Francys Romero reports that the Dodgers plan to promote Miguel Vargas from Triple-A Oklahoma City.
Advice: The 24-year-old has kind of forced their hand with his hot-hitting at the Triple-A Level — slashing .295/.437/.583 with eight homers, 38 RBI and eight stolen bases (in 14 attempts) over 181 plate appearances in 39 games. He played almost exclusively in left field during his time at Triple-A this season, so it’ll be interesting to see how he’s utilized by the Dodgers this time around. With Jason Heyward also expected to be activated from the injured list, the Dodgers will have to clear some room on their active roster on Friday.
