    • Brendan Rodgers (hamstring) heading to 10-day IL
Rockies’ manager Bud Black told reporters after Saturday’s game that Brendan Rodgers (hamstring) would be placed on the 10-day injured list prior to Sunday’s series finale against the Cardinals.

Advice: Black also confirmed what Francys Romero had reported earlier, that Adael Amador would be recalled from Double-A Hartford to take his place on the active roster. It’s a tough break for the Rockies, as Rodgers had been swinging a hot bat and had been extremely productive over the past few weeks. No word yet on just how long they expect Rodgers to be sidelined for. Rotoworld Today, 4:40 pm

    • To hit injured list
Rodgers (left hamstring strain) will be placed on the 10-day injured list, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Rodgers was removed from Friday's game against the Cardinals after his hamstring tightened up while running out a hit. Further evaluation revealed that the second baseman has a strain in his left hamstring and will need an IL stint. Infielder Adael Amador will be called up from Double-A Hartford to fill Rodgers' spot on the active roster and should share second base duties with Alan Trejo. Rotowire.com Today, 4:35 pm

    • Gibson allows three in no-decision Saturday
Kyle Gibson allowed three runs in six innings and got a no-decision against the Rockies on Saturday.

Advice: Gibson gave up eight hits, walked two and struck out seven. He was in line for the win before the Rockies scored three runs against the Cardinals bullpen in the seventh inning. The Cardinals bullpen also cost him a win in his last start. Gibson has been consistently good lately as he’s allowed more than three runs in only one of his last 10 starts. The 36-year-old right-hander is set to face the Cubs on the road next week.

    • First to 10 wins
Suarez (10-1) earned the win Saturday over the Mets in London, allowing two runs on eight hits and a walk over 5.2 innings. He struck out six.

Advice: It wasn't Suarez's most dominant outing (the eight hits allowed were a season high), though he managed to limit the damage en route to his league-leading 10th win. It's encouraging to see Suarez make a successful return to the mound after he was struck in the pitching hand by a line drive in his last start, forcing him out of the game after two innings. Overall, the 28-year-old southpaw sports a pristine 1.81 ERA with a 0.85 WHIP and 85:17 K:BB across 79.2 innings this year. Suarez is currently lined up to face the Orioles on the road in his next outing. Rotowire.com Today, 1:17 pm
    • Ranger Suárez fans six to beat Mets in London
Ranger Suárez struck out six and two runs over 5 2/3 innings on Saturday in a win over the Mets.

Advice: Suárez took the ball for Saturday’s London Series opener across the pond and got a big assist from teammate Orion Kerkering, who came on to strike out Mets star Francisco Lindor and strand a pair of inherited runners in the process. The 28-year-old southpaw has been masterful this season, allowing three earned runs or fewer in 12 of his 13 starts. He’ll bring a microscopic 1.81 ERA, 0.85 WHIP and 85/17 K/BB ratio across 79 2/3 innings (13 starts) into a road outing on Friday against the Orioles. Rotoworld Today, 1:03 pm
    • Sitting as expected
Rodgers (hamstring) isn't in the Rockies' lineup for Saturday's game against the Cardinals.

Advice: Rodgers had to be taken out of Friday's game after his hamstring tightened up on him while running to first base in the fourth inning. The Rockies said the 27-year-old would require treatment for a couple of days, so Alan Trejo will take over at second base and bat ninth Saturday. Rotowire.com Today, 11:24 am

    • Dean Kremer (triceps) might skip rehab assignment
Dean Kremer (triceps) will throw a bullpen session this week.

Advice: Orioles manager Brandon Hyde told reporters Kremer is trending in the right direction and they’ll wait until after his next throwing session before determining whether he’ll require a minor league rehab assignment. The 28-year-old righty hit the injured list back in late May with a triceps strain. Rotoworld Today, 11:22 am

    • Brendan Rogers out Saturday with hamstring issue
Brendan Rodgers (hamstring) is absent from the lineup for Saturday’s game against the Cardinals.

Advice: Rodgers will get some extra time to rest and recover after leaving Friday’s game with a mild left hamstring injury. It certainly doesn’t sound like a serious concern, but the 27-year-old will likely sit out the remainder of the weekend to continue undergoing treatment. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day for now. Rotoworld Today, 10:48 am

    • Mashes another homer
Santander went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Friday's 6-3 win over the Rays.

Advice: Santander's slow start to the season stood out compared to most of the rest of the Orioles, but he's warmed up significantly. Over his last 15 games, the outfielder is hitting .291 (16-for-55) with six homers and 11 RBI. He's homered in four of his last seven contests and now has a .227/.306/.472 slash line with 13 long balls, 36 RBI, 33 runs scored and no stolen bases over 58 games this season.
