      Kutter Crawford delivered a brilliant performance in Sunday night’s victory over the Yankees, scattering four hits over seven scoreless innings of work.

      Advice: The 28-year-old right-hander punched out four batters on the evening and didn’t walk a batter. He needed just 68 pitches (54 strikes) to get through his seven innings. Crawford has never pitched into the eighth inning in his big-league career though, and the Red Sox trusted their bullpen to get the final six outs. Crawford generated nine whiffs on the night while posting an elite CSW of 38 percent. He’ll attempt to finish the first half strong as he carries a stellar 3.24 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 106/28 K/BB ratio (105 2/3 innings) into Saturday’s matchup against the Royals.       Luis Gil was outstanding in a tough-luck loss against the Red Sox on Sunday night, racking up nine strikeouts over 6 2/3 innings of one-run baseball.

      Advice: The 26-year-old hurler scattered just four hits on the evening and didn’t walk a batter. He was engaged in a scoreless pitcher’s duel with Kutter Crawford until he served up an opposite-field solo homer to Rafael Devers in the seventh inning. Gil generated 15 swings and misses on 96 pitches in the ballgame — seven on his fastball and six on his slider — while posting a CSW of 31 percent. He’ll look to replicate this fine outing and finish the first half strong as he brings a 3.27 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and a 111/48 K/BB ratio (96 1/3 innings) into a tough matchup against the Orioles in Baltimore on Saturday.       Advice: The 24-year-old rejoined the Mariners on Sunday, but manager Scott Servais was non-committal on whether the right-hander will require an additional rehab outing. The club wants Woo to be able to cover at least four or five innings before being reinserted into the big-league rotation, so it wouldn't be surprising if he's sent on another rehab outing to further build up his workload before being activated.       Advice: The home run was his eighth on the season to go along with 36 RBI. Heim is hitting just .247 on the season but has been hitting better of late, going 15-for-49 (.306) over his last 15 games with two home runs, nine runs scored, and five RBI.       Phillies manager Rob Thomson confirmed Sunday that Schwarber (groin) will be activated from the 10-day injured list prior to Tuesday's series opener versus the Dodgers, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.

      Advice: After running on the field at approximately 90 percent intensity Saturday, Schwarber cleared the final hurdle in his recovery from a left groin strain by sprinting at full speed during a pregame workout Sunday. The Phillies apparently feel comfortable enough with Schwarber's health to let him return from the IL without heading out on a rehab assignment beforehand. Schwarber has made just three of his 78 starts in left field this season, and the Phillies will most likely deploy him strictly as a designated hitter during the upcoming week to lessen the possibility of a setback with the groin heading into the All-Star break.
