    • Gunnar Henderson strikes out four times
Gunnar Henderson lost his 36-game on-base streak by striking out all four times up against the Rangers on Sunday.

Advice: All four strikeouts came against Andrew Heaney. It’s his first golden sombrero since Oct. 1, 2022. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:15 pm

    • Re-entering rotation Wednesday
Jones is listed as the Pirates' starting pitcher for Wednesday's game against the Cardinals at PNC Park.

Advice: Jones will slot back into the rotation for the first time since June 22 after the Pirates opted to skip his turn this past week. The decision to bypass Jones' turn wasn't based on any injury; instead, the Pirates are cognizant of keeping the 23-year-old right-hander's workload in check during his first season in the majors. The Pirates haven't offered up a firm innings limit for Jones in 2024 nor outlined their plans on when/if he might be skipped again, but fantasy managers shouldn't hesitate to keep him active when he's confirmed to start. Though he's had more trouble keeping walks in check in his recent starts compared to earlier in the campaign, Jones will still head into his 16th start of the season Wednesday with stellar ratios (3.66 ERA, 1.10 WHIP, 19.4 K-BB%). • Gunnar Henderson to take part in Home Run Derby
Gunnar Henderson announced on ESPN that he will participate in this year’s Home Run Derby.

Advice: Henderson added that it’ll be the first time he’s participated in a competitive Derby. The 23-year-old shortstop is currently tied for second in the majors with 26 homers. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:47 pm

    • Getting rest Sunday
Smith is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Giants.

Advice: Smith will get a day off after he had started in five of the Dodgers' previous six contests. Austin Barnes will check in for Smith behind the dish and will bat ninth. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:22 am

    • Fans nine in win
Lopez (8-6) earned the win over the Mariners on Saturday, allowing one run on four hits and one walk over six innings while striking out nine.

Advice: Lopez stumbled a bit over the first three frames, allowing a walk and four hits, including a solo home run off the bat of Mitch Haniger. However, the right-hander recovered nicely after the early hiccups, fanning six of the nine batters he faced over his final three innings of work as Minnesota took a 5-1 lead. Lopez induced 18 swinging strikes on the night and now has 25 strikeouts over his last 14 innings on the mound. He's also won his last three decisions (spanning four starts) and has logged a quality start in back-to-back outings. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:21 am
    • Collects three hits, three RBI
Smith went 3-for-6 with a double, three RBI and a run scored in Saturday's win over the Giants.

Advice: Smith tied the game at five runs apiece with an infield single in the fifth and later added a two-run double in the 11th to put the Dodgers on top 9-7, marking his first multi-hit effort since June 11 against the Rangers. Despite his recent struggles at the plate, the catcher has still managed to post eight RBI over his last nine games and is now up to 50 RBI on the season. However, he's also struck out twice in three of his last five contests. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:37 am

    • Notches third straight win
Bibee (7-2) picked up the win Saturday, allowing two runs on four hits over six innings in a 7-2 victory over the Royals. He struck out three without walking a batter.

Advice: The right-hander looked shaky early, serving up solo shots to Vinnie Pasquantino in the first inning and Michael Massey in the second, but Bibee didn't let a runner even get to second base after that. He's reeled off three straight wins, all quality starts, and he'll take a 3.47 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 109:22 K:BB through 93.1 innings into his next outing, which lines up to come at home next weekend against the Giants. • Julio Rodríguez goes hitless Saturday vs. Twins
Julio Rodríguez went 0-for-4 on Saturday in the Mariners’ loss to the Twins.

Advice: It’s been a trying first half for Rodríguez, who went hitless during Saturday’s losing effort despite a scalding a 102-mph line-drive off Twins starter Pablo López in the third inning that went for a lineout. The 23-year-old franchise cornerstone’s latest hitless performance drops his full-season batting average back down to a pedestrian .248 mark. The even more problematic development for fantasy purposes is that he’s gone deep just seven times this season, with nearly half of those coming over his last 30 games. He’s mired in an extended tailspin at the dish right now, batting .138 (8-for-58) with two homers and zero steals over his last 15 games. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:50 am

    • Pablo López strikes out nine in victory over M’s
Pablo López recorded nine strikeouts and allowed one run over six innings on Saturday in a win over the Mariners.

Advice: We certainly hope you weren’t one of the fantasy managers that bailed on López during his persistent struggles earlier this month as he’s recorded at least nine strikeouts in back-to-back outings and has allowed just one earned run over 14 innings of work during that span, capitalizing on a pair of favorable road matchups against the Athletics and Mariners, respectively. The underlying expected stats pointed to some regression from a run-prevention standpoint, so we’re not totally surprised that he’s reverted to form after a handful of rough outings. He’ll aim to keep the momentum going when he squares off against the Astros on Friday in his penultimate start prior to the upcoming All-Star break. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:44 am
