    • Winn records RBI in loss Saturday
Masyn Winn went 0-for-3 with an RBI against the Phillies on Saturday.

Advice: It was a quiet night for the Cardinals as they could only muster one run. Winn’s hitless night ended a streak of 18 consecutive starts where he’d recorded a hit. While Brendan Donovan was out of the lineup, it’s notable that Winn moved up to the leadoff spot against Phillies left-handed starter Ranger Suarez. Rotoworld 38 minutes ago

    • Yordan Alvarez homers twice as Astros top Twins
Yordan Alvarez went 3-for-3 with two homers and three RBI in a 5-2 win Saturday over the Twins for the Astros.

Advice: Alvarez also drew a walk. The 26-year-old slugger took Joe Ryan deep with a runner on in the first, and did more damage against Ryan with a solo shot in the fifth. That ups Alvarez’s total to 11 roundtrippers on the year, and he’s plated 25 over the first 59 games of the season for the Astros. Alvarez has been as good as any hitter in baseball the last few years, and it’s the only reason why those numbers and a .283/.357/.480 slash seem slightly disappointing. • X-rays come back clean
Ginkel's (leg) X-rays came back negative and can be considered day-to-day, Jesse Friedman of GoPHNX.com reports Saturday.

Advice: Ginkel took a hard-hit comebacker to his left leg during Saturday's game against the Mets and was immediately removed from the contest. However, he seems to have avoided significant injury and manager Torey Lovullo expressed optimism that Ginkel could be ready as soon as Sunday. Ginkel owns a 4.09 ERA across 22.0 innings this season. • Christian Walker powers D-Backs with grand slam
Christian Walker went 1-for-4 with a grand slam and a walk to power the Diamondbacks to a 10-5 win over the Mets on Saturday.

Advice: With the bases loaded in the third inning, Walker took Sean Manaea deep for a grand slam to drive in the first runs of the game. The 33-year-old slugger is up to 12 homers with 38 runs scored and 38 RBI while slashing .262/.360/.471 across 250 plate appearances. Rotoworld Today, 4:31 pm
    • Struck by comebacker
Ginkel was hit in the left leg by a comebacker during Saturday's game against the Mets and was removed from the game, Jesse Friedman of GoPHNX.com reports. He threw one perfect inning before the incident.

Advice: Ginkel was the first arm out of the bullpen for the Diamondbacks on Saturday, replacing Slade Cecconi late in the fifth inning. The 30-year-old retired the first two batters he faced before getting hit by a 98 MPH comebacker from Brandon Nimmo, who was still thrown out at first. Bryce Jarvis replaced Ginkel on the mound. • Sitting Saturday
Jansen will sit Saturday versus the Pirates.

Advice: Jansen will take a seat after he went 0-for-4 with two walks, a run scored and two strikeouts in Friday's 5-3 win. Alejandro Kirk will draw the start behind the plate and bat eighth against Pittsburgh. Rotowire.com Today, 11:03 am

    • Blown save Friday
McArthur took a blown save in Friday's 11-8 loss to the Padres, allowing four runs on four hits without retiring a batter.

Advice: McArthur inherited a brutal situation from John Schreiber, who left the bases loaded with no outs in the eighth inning. McArthur let all three inherited runners score after allowing four straight singles, and Will Klein was unable to slow the Padres' rally. While he's still a high-leverage option, McArthur was awful in May with a 9.00 ERA and 1.90 WHIP over 10 innings while going 4-for-7 in save conversations. He's at a 5.32 ERA, 1.48 WHIP and 23:3 K:BB through 23.2 innings, and he's giving up too many hits to find long-term success, though the Royals lack relievers who have pitched well over the last month. • Homers in loss
Walker went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Friday's 10-9 loss to the Mets.

Advice: Walker hit the second of a back-to-back home runs in the ninth inning -- he followed Joc Pederson's three-run blast -- but they weren't enough to erase Arizona's five-run deficit. The home run was Walker's team-leading 11th to go along with a team-high 34 RBI. He's hit safely in eight of nine games, going 11-for-35 with six extra-base hits (three homers), four RBI and six runs scored. Rotowire.com Today, 5:31 am
    • Jasson Domínguez homers again Friday at Double-A
Yankees OF prospect Jasson Domínguez (elbow) went 3-for-5 with a two-run homer and also stole a base on Friday in a minor league rehab game for Double-A Somerset.

Advice: Domínguez has been sizzling-hot at the plate on his rehab assignment with a stratospheric .977 OPS in 12 games between Low-A Tampa and Double-A Somerset. He’s homered three times in his last five contests. It’s unclear how the Yankees plan to proceed once the 21-year-old center fielder is ready to return to New York, but it’s looking like he’s going to force his way into their immediate plans if he keeps tearing the cover off the ball in the minors.
