Yordan Alvarez went 3-for-4 with two doubles, a walk, and a run scored on Friday against the Mets.
Advice: Alvarez was on base four times in this one as the Mets just could not figure him out. All three of his balls in play were hit at least 108.9 MPH as his OPS has drifted all the way back up to .892, 11th highest in the league. Rotoworld18 minutes ago
Nick Gonzales went 1-for-3 with a double, a walk, and a stolen base on Friday against the Braves.
Advice: The double was Gonzales’ first extra-base hit in 12 games after smacking 12 in his first 30 contests this season. He’s still been a regular in the Pirates’ lineup despite the recent lack of power. Rotoworld31 minutes ago
McArthur pitched a perfect ninth inning and picked up the save over the Guardians on Thursday.
Advice: McArthur entered the game with a one-run lead in the ninth and needed only eight pitches to retire the side for his 14th save of the season. The right-hander has been very reliable as of late, hurling a perfect inning in each of his last three appearances while lowering his June ERA to 2.00. On the downside, McArthur has managed just a 4:4 K:BB this month over 10 appearances (nine innings) and hasn't recorded a strikeout in either of his last two outings. Rotowire.comToday, 6:15 am
Jonathan India went 2-for-4 with a run scored, a double and an RBI against the Cardinals on Thursday.
Advice: India started the game with a single and scored on Elly De La Cruz’s RBI triple. In the second inning, he had an RBI double to give the Reds a 2-0 lead. India is now on a nine-game hitting streak and he’s 17-for-33 (.515) in that stretch. In June, he’s 30-for-80 (.375) with 18 runs scored and 14 RBI in 24 games. India’s average is up to .272 on the season with a .771 OPS and 32 RBI.
James McArthur tossed a scoreless ninth inning and picked up the save against the Guardians on Thursday.
Advice: The save was his 14th of the season. McArthur has a 4.41 ERA after another scoreless outing. There’s no question that he’s the Royals’ best option for saves going forward. RotoworldYesterday, 7:36 pm
Adolis Garcia went 1-for-4 with a solo home run against the Orioles on Thursday.
Advice: Garcia’s home run was his 15th of the season. It hasn’t been Garcia’s best season, but he’s showing what it means to possess a solid floor. He’s only hitting .219, but he’s still on pace for around 30 home runs with 15 stolen bases and run totals in the mid-80s. Even though Garcia isn’t repeating the monster season he produced last year, he’s still carving out a pretty nice year for himself.
Jansen isn't in the Blue Jays' lineup Thursday against the Yankees.
Advice: Jansen broke an 0-for-12 skid with a double during Wednesday's victory, and he'll now get a breather for Thursday's series opener. Alejandro Kirk will start behind the dish and bat eighth. Rotowire.comYesterday, 1:00 pm
Horwitz isn't in the Blue Jays' lineup for Thursday's game versus the Yankees.
Advice: With left-hander Carlos Rodon on the mound for New York, the lefty-hitting Horwitz will begin Thursday's contest on the bench. Isiah Kiner-Falefa will shift to second base as a result, allowing Ernie Clement to start at third while batting ninth. Rotowire.comYesterday, 12:58 pm
India went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI in Wednesday's 6-1 loss to Pittsburgh.
Advice: No one in baseball is hotter than India, who leads MLB with a .571 average and is second in OPS (1.654) over the last seven days. He's hit safely in eight straight contests, going 15-for-29 with four walks, two steals, seven doubles, one home run, three RBI and eight additional runs scored. Rotowire.comYesterday, 6:08 am
