    • Matt Chapman has two hits, HR in loss
Matt Chapman went 2-for-5 with a solo home run in a loss to the Pirates on Tuesday.

Advice: Chapman had three of the four hardest-hit balls on the Giants during the game. He had a 113.1 mph groundout, a 106.4 mph double, and a 104.8 mph home run that traveled 414 feet. He also added another 103.2 mph groundout, so it’s safe to say he was seeing the ball pretty well on Tuesday. The veteran is now 19-for-68 (.279) with two home runs, 15 runs scored, and eight RBI during May. He continues to hit cleanup for the Giants every game and is an underrated fantasy option. • Goes three innings in return
Musgrove (3-4) took the loss Tuesday against the Reds, allowing two unearned runs on three hits and two walks over three innings. He struck out three.

Advice: Musgrove appeared a bit rusty in his first start since May 1, ultimately needing 66 pitches to make it through three innings -- he'd allow a pair of unearned runs after an errant pickoff throw in the second. Overall, the 31-year-old Musgrove sports a 5.93 ERA with a 1.52 WHIP and 39:15 K:BB across nine starts (44 innings) this season. He'll look to go deeper in his next outing, currently scheduled for Sunday at home against the Yankees. Rotowire.com 53 minutes ago

    • Joe Musgrove goes three innings in return from IL
Joe Musgrove allowed two runs (zero earned) on three hits in three innings in a loss to the Reds on Tuesday.

Advice: The Padres said this start was just about getting Musgrove on the mound against live hitters after missing time with a triceps injury. The veteran’s velocity was in line with his season-long numbers, which is good in his first start off the IL, and he posted an impressive 35 percent whiff rate and 27 percent CSW in his three innings. Overall, it was a solid first effort back but things just get tougher this weekend against the Yankees. Rotoworld 59 minutes ago

    • José Ramirez has two hits, HR in win over Mets
José Ramirez went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI in a win over the Mets on Tuesday.

Advice: Ramirez’s home run was a 380-foot shot off Adrian Houser at 101.5 mph off the bat for his 12th big fly of the season. He also added a two-out RBI double to give him 44 RBI on the season. The batting average may not be what fantasy managers are hoping for, but Ramirez is hitting the ball well and should be back to something resembling his usual triple slash in no time. • Homer, three RBI in win
Ramirez went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer and an RBI double in Tuesday's 7-6 win over the Mets.

Advice: Ramirez extended Cleveland's lead to 3-0 in the third inning with a two-out double before cranking a two-run homer off Adrian Houser in the fifth, his 12th of the year. The 31-year-old Ramirez has gone 12-for-32 (.375) with three home runs and 13 RBI in his last eight contests. His slash line is up to .258/.305/.495 with 44 RBI, 31 runs scored and seven stolen bases through 210 plate appearances this season. Rotowire.com Today, 6:33 pm

    • Isaac Paredes drives in two on three-hit night
Isaac Paredes went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBI in Tuesday’s loss to the Red Sox.

Advice: Paredes singled home two runs in the bottom of the first to give the Rays an early lead. Unfortunately, it would be the only two runs the Rays would score on the evening, as the lineup remained limited for much of the afternoon despite Paredes’ three-hit night. The veteran infielder has totaled 14 hits in his last 10 games and is hitting a solid .314 on the year. Rotoworld Today, 6:26 pm

    • Joe Ryan tosses seven scoreless to beat Nats
Joe Ryan struck out six over seven shutout innings on Tuesday in a win over the Nationals.

Advice: Ryan’s velocity was up across the board as his four-seam fastball had a little bit of extra life on it, which led to an impressive eight swinging strikes and a near-elite 39 percent CSW. He limited Washington’s lineup to just three hits and a pair of walks over seven stellar frames. The 27-year-old righty will bring a strong 3.15 ERA, 0.98 WHIP and 64/9 K/BB ratio across 60 innings (10 starts) into a home outing on Monday against the division-rival Royals. • On bench Tuesday
Santander is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Cardinals.

Advice: Santander has been banged up with bruised knee recently and will get a day off Tuesday after going hitless in his last 10 at-bats. Colton Cowser will bat fifth and play left field against Lance Lynn and the Cardinals. Rotowire.com Today, 1:22 pm

    • Padres activate Joe Musgrove for start vs. Reds
Padres activated RHP Joe Musgrove from the 15-day injured list.

Advice: Musgrove returns from a two-week stint on the injured list due to triceps tendinitis to take the ball for Tuesday’s series opener against the Reds. The 31-year-old righty has compiled a lackluster 6.37 ERA, 1.51 WHIP and 36/13 K/BB ratio across 41 innings (eight starts) prior to hitting the shelf. Rotoworld Today, 1:21 pm
