    • Bo Bichette collects RBI in loss to Athletics
Bo Bichette went 2-for-4 with an RBI on Friday in the Blue Jays’ loss to the Athletics.

Advice: Bichette got Toronto on the scoreboard in the seventh inning with a run-scoring single off Athletics reliever Austin Adams following a leadoff double from Vladimir Guerrero Jr. The 26-year-old shortstop has struggled this season to a lackluster .238 batting average to go along with just 19 runs scored, four homers, 26 RBI and four steals across 60 contests. • Sale strikes out 10 in loss to Nationals Friday
Chris Sale allowed two runs in seven innings and took the loss against the Nationals on Friday.

Advice: Sale gave up five hits, walked one and struck out 10. It was an impressive bounce back performance after he allowed eight runs in his last start. Sale has been tremendous at times this season. While he has a 3.01 ERA on the year, his xFIP is even better at 2.43. The 35-year-old left-hander is set to face the Orioles on the road next week. • Santander crushes 13th home run in win Friday
Anthony Santander went 2-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run against the Rays on Friday.

Advice: The home run was Santander’s 13th of the season and came against Rays starter Aaron Civale. While his average is a little lower than he’d like it to be this year at .227, the power is still there for Santander. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:50 pm

    • Rebounds in losing effort
Sale (8-2) took the loss Friday against the Nationals, allowing two runs on five hits and a walk over seven innings. He struck out 10.

Advice: It was a strong bounce-back effort from Sale after he surrendered eight runs against Oakland in his last start. However, Atlanta couldn't get on the board until the eighth inning in an eventual 2-1 defeat. Sale now has eight or more strikeouts in six of his last seven outings. His ERA sits at 3.01 with a 0.94 WHIP and 92:11 K:BB across 12 starts (74.2 innings) this year. Sale's currently in line for a road matchup with the Orioles in his next outing. Oneil Cruz went 1-for-2 with a walk and a solo home run against the Twins on Friday.

Advice: The home run was Cruz’ ninth of the season and second in as many days. Prior to Thursday, he had gone 15 games without a home run and was hitting .180 in that stretch. He’s hitting .247 with a .744 OPS and 24 RBI on the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:15 pm

    • Sitting down Friday
Jansen isn't in the Blue Jays' lineup for Friday's game against Oakland.

Advice: Jansen went 1-for-11 with a walk during Toronto's last series against the Orioles, and he'll now sit down for the second time in the Jays' last two games. Alejandro Kirk will fill in behind the plate to catch Chris Bassitt while batting sixth. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:56 pm

    • Getting day off
Kwan is absent from the lineup for Friday's game in Miami.

Advice: The Guardians have now mixed in two off days for Kwan in the outfielder's first week back from the injured list as they ease him into things. David Fry will be the left fielder Friday and Tyler Freeman will be elevated to the leadoff spot. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:11 pm

    • Homers, steals bag
Crus went 2-for-3 with a three-run home run, a stolen base and an additional run scored during Thursday's 11-7 loss to the Dodgers.

Advice: Cruz took Evan Phillips yard in the eighth inning for a three-run shot, his first home run in 15 games. While 2024 hasn't been the breakout season that fantasy managers may have expected for the talented shortstop, Cruz has eight homers, 13 doubles and five stolen bases through 229 plate appearances. • Paul Sewald turns in hitless inning for save
Paul Seward pitched a hitless ninth with a one-run lead for his seventh save Thursday against the Padres.

Advice: Sewald has been about as tough as ever since returning from an oblique strain a month ago. He has a 0.87 ERA and is 7-for-7 saving games this season. Rotoworld Thursday, 10:11 pm
