    • Fernando Tatis Jr. (triceps) held out of lineup
Fernando Tatis Jr. (triceps) was held out of the Padres’ starting lineup for Saturday’s contest against the Brewers.

Advice: The 25-year-old superstar was plunked on the left triceps with a pitch during Friday night’s affair against the Brewers. He walked away with only a contusion, but it sounds like he’ll need a day or two before he’s ready to return to the starting lineup. David Peralta will start in his place in right field and bat sixth for the Padres against Carlos Rodriguez and the Brewers. Rotoworld Saturday, 1:10 pm
    • Not starting Saturday
Paredes is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Pirates.

Advice: Paredes will get a rest Saturday after going 1-for-5 with two strikeouts in Friday's 10-3 win over Pittsburgh. Amed Rosario will start at third base and bat fifth against Pirates right-hander Jared Jones. Rotowire.com Saturday, 12:51 pm

    • Next start will be in majors
Darvish (groin) is expected to come off the injured list to make his next start with San Diego, per MLB.com.

Advice: Darvish struggled in a minor-league rehab start with High-A Fort Wayne on Wednesday, allowing six runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out three batters over 3.1 innings. He threw only 49 pitches in that outing, but the Padres nonetheless appear intent on moving him back into the rotation for his next appearance. It hasn't yet been announced when Darvish will make that start, but given the typical time between outings, it's logical to expect Monday or Tuesday versus Washington to be the target date. • Logs steal in loss
Mullins went 2-for-5 with a stolen base and a run scored in Friday's 14-11 loss to the Astros.

Advice: Mullins has multiple hits in three straight games, and he's added a pair of extra-base hits and three steals in that span. He's batting .333 (14-for-42) over his last 12 contests, a stretch that has helped him regain a starting role in center field. The outfielder is batting .202 on the year -- this is the first time he's been at or above .200 since May 8. He's added a .592 OPS, seven home runs, 25 RBI, 35 runs scored and a team-leading 16 steals. Rotowire.com Saturday, 10:02 am

    • Doubles twice in win
Altuve went 3-for-5 with two doubles, two RBI and two runs scored in Friday's win over the Orioles.

Advice: Altuve got hot early Friday; he singled and scored in the first inning before knocking an RBI double in the second. He capped off his day with another RBI double and another run scored during Houston's nine-run sixth inning. Altuve has caught fire after a lackluster May, producing a .995 OPS with 11 RBI over his last 12 games. His season slash line now sits at .301/.351/.460 with 27 extra-base hits and 45 runs scored. • Delivers winning knock
Ward went 2-for-3 with one RBI, one walk, one stolen base and one run scored in Friday's 3-2 extra-inning win over the Dodgers.

Advice: Ward put the Angels ahead with an RBI single in the 10th inning and then stole second. The Angels didn't add to their lead, but they were able to hold on. With just two multi-hit efforts in June, Ward has been a bit disappointing after he started the season in good form at the plate. He's slashing .240/.325/.419 with 12 home runs, three steals, 38 RBI and 35 runs scored over 73 contests, but just one of those long balls has been among his three extra-base hits in June. • Continues power surge
Lewis went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 6-5 loss to the Athletics.

Advice: Lewis homered for the fifth time in his last six games, taking Joey Estes deep in the sixth inning. With 10 homers, 14 RBI and 15 runs scored over just 16 contests this season, Lewis has been hugely productive when he hasn't been on the injured list. He won't keep up that homer pace, but as long as he stays healthy he should remain a fantasy asset. Rotowire.com Friday, 10:35 pm

    • Taylor Ward drives in game-winner against Dodgers
Taylor Ward stole a base and drove home the game-winning run in the 10th against the Dodgers on Friday.

Advice: Ward untied the game with an RBI single in the top of the 10th off Evan Phillips to give the Angels the lead and the (surprising) victory. The stolen base was just the third of the year for the 30-year-old outfielder. After a red-hot start, Ward has come back to earth — something that’s happened a bunch on his career — with a .240/.325/.419 slash over 77 games. Rotoworld Friday, 9:56 pm

    • Fernando Tatis Jr. day-to-day with triceps contusion
Fernando Tatis Jr. is day-to-day with a left triceps contusion, the Padres announced.

Advice: Tatis left Friday’s game after he was in the elbow by a pitch. If he can’t play Saturday, then José Azocar will probably play right field. Rotoworld Friday, 9:32 pm
