      Shota Imanaga struck out six and allowed one run over seven innings on Saturday in a win over the Cardinals.

      Advice: Imanaga got his first taste of the storied NL Central rivalry on Saturday afternoon at historic Wrigley Field and delivered another masterpiece, throwing a career-high 103 pitches and limiting St. Louis’ lineup to just four baserunners over seven stellar frames. He induced 14 swinging strikes, with a dozen of them coming on his splitter/sweeper combo, and allowed just seven batted balls with an exit velocity in excess of 95 mph. The 30-year-old Japanese southpaw has been a revelation this season in his Cubs debut, allowing two earned runs or fewer in 12 of his 13 starts so far.       Astros manager Joe Espada told reporters Saturday that Kyle Tucker (shin) might require a minor league rehab assignment.

      Advice: Espada elaborated that Tucker might need some rehab games to get back up to speed if he doesn’t resume running at some point this weekend. The 27-year-old fantasy superstar has been out since early June recovering from a right shin contusion and has yet to resume baseball activities.       Reynolds went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and two RBI on Friday against the Rockies.

      Advice: Reynolds popped his ninth home run of the season in the first inning and also extended his hitting streak to 12 games. Though it was only his second long ball in that span, Reynolds has hit .340 with a .969 OPS to go along with eight RBI and six runs scored. Since returning from a hamstring injury in late May, Langford is batting .306/.346/.429 with four extra-base hits, nine RBI, four steals and four runs scored over 13 games.       Advice: Jones was activated from the injured list Friday after missing roughly six weeks due to back and knee injuries. He hit fifth in the order, which was a common spot in the lineup for him before he was sidelined.       Salvador Perez was removed from Friday’s game against the Dodgers with right knee discomfort.

      Advice: Perez exited Friday’s contest in the eighth inning and told reporters afterwards that he felt a tweak in his right knee earlier in the game when he stood up quickly to catch a high fastball from Royals ace Cole Ragans. The 34-year-old ironman will presumably head for some additional testing and imaging to determine the severity of the issue if he’s not feeling better this weekend.       Miller struck out one batter and walked one over 1.2 innings Friday against Minnesota. He was charged with a blown save during the loss.

      Advice: Miller entered the game in the eighth inning with the bases jammed and immediately walked in the game-tying run. He then retired five straight batters before the Twins went on to win in the 10th.       Wyatt Langford drove in a run while going 2-for-4 with a double and a steal in a loss Friday to the Mariners.

      Advice: Langford drove in his run in the first with an RBI single to make it 2-0 Rangers. It’d be the last run that Texas would score off Castillo or the Seattle bullpen.       Advice: Perez hit a three-run homer in the fourth inning to give Kansas City a 3-0 lead, but his knee caused him to come out of the game during the eighth. It's unclear how severe the backstop's injury is, but the Royals should know more before Saturday's contest.
