• Michael Harris leaves game with hamstring tightness
The Braves announced that Michael Harris II was pulled from Friday’s showdown against the Rays in the first inning due to left hamstring tightness.

Advice: That’s certainly what it looked like on the field, but it’s nice to receive confirmation from the team so quickly. He’ll head for further evaluation to determine the severity of the injury. If he’s forced to miss any extended time, we could see the Braves turn to the trade market to try to bring in some outside help — as Alex Anthopoulous has been known to do. • Exits Friday's game
Harris was removed from Friday's game against the Rays due to left hamstring tightness.

Advice: Harris strained his left hamstring while running from first base to third in the bottom of the first inning. J.P. Martinez pinch ran for Harris and is in center field for the remainder of Friday's game. More information on the severity of Harris' injury should be known following Friday's contest. • Michael Harris II exits game with hamstring injury
Michael Harris II was removed from Friday’s matchup against the Rays in the first inning due to an apparent hamstring injury.

Advice: The 23-year-old outfielder led off the home half of the first inning with a double, but pulled up lame into third base on a double by Ozzie Albies and was subsequently removed from the ballgame. It appeared to be a hamstring issue, but the Braves should have an update on his status shortly. Stay tuned. Rotoworld Today, 4:39 pm

  • Receiving Friday off
Jeffers is out of the lineup for Friday's game against Oakland.

Advice: Jeffers has yet to make consecutive starts behind the plate this season, and his playing time has slipped lately as he hasn't made a start at designated hitter since June 1. It's been a rough month so far for the 27-year-old, who has gone 3-for-30 through nine contests. Christian Vazquez will step in behind the plate Friday to catch for Simeon Woods Richardson. • Nabs 10th save
Yates picked up the save over the Dodgers on Thursday, allowing one walk over a scoreless ninth inning while striking out three.

Advice: Yates had a bit of a hard time getting through the ninth after entering the contest with a two-run lead, surrendering a leadoff walk to Teoscar Hernandez on five pitches and advancing him to second base on a balk. However, the veteran reliever made short work of the next three batters, getting all three to go down swinging as he secured his 10th save in as many chances. Yates has been solid in the closer role for Texas thus far and holds a 1.11 ERA on the campaign. He's also recorded multiple strikeouts in three of his last four appearances and has yet to surrender a home run in 2024. Rotowire.com Today, 7:04 am

  • Racks up 13 strikeouts Thursday
Crochet allowed one run on two hits and two walks while striking out 13 batters over seven innings in a no-decision against Seattle on Thursday.

Advice: Crochet was absolutely dominant in the outing, inducing 24 swinging strikes and finishing with a career-high 13 punchouts. The only run against the southpaw came via Tyler Locklear's first career homer in the fifth inning, and Crochet was in line for the victory before Michael Kopech blew a save opportunity in the ninth. Despite a few rough starts in April, Crochet has been a revelation for the White Sox and for fantasy managers this season. Over his past nine starts, he's recorded a 1.36 ERA, 0.74 WHIP and 76:11 K:BB over 53 innings. Crochet is tied with Tyler Glasnow for the major-league lead with 116 punchouts on the campaign. • Returns with loss Thursday
Munoz (back) picked up the loss Thursday as the Mariners fell to the White Sox, allowing an unearned run in the 10th inning.

Advice: Munoz allowed a walk and a hit before a fielder's choice brought home the automatic runner. The good news was that Munoz didn't allow much in the way of hard contact and generated three swings and misses among his 17 pitches, 11 of which were strikes. Rotowire.com Today, 12:42 am
  • Kirby Yates whiffs three in save against Dodgers
Kirby Yates struck out three in a scoreless ninth to get a save against the Dodgers on Thursday.

Advice: Yates did allow a walk, but this was a much better effort than the one he had Wednesday when he picked up a save but was fortunate to not blow the opportunity. The right-hander has been outstanding for the overwhelming majority of 2024, and this scoreless outing gives him a 1.11 ERA along with 10 saves. He isn’t giving up this closing gig. Not anytime soon, anyway. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:09 pm

  • Garrett Crochet weaves gem with 13 strikeouts
Garrett Crochet struck out 13 batters over seven innings of one-run baseball but didn’t pick up a decision Thursday against the Mariners.

Advice: Crochet was absolutely dominant while taking advantage of a team that strikes out at an enormous rate, so the results are equally impressive and not surprising. He did allow a solo homer to Tyler Locklear, but outside of that and a Victor Robles double, it was smooth sailing for the 24-year-old. The 13 punchouts are a season-high, but this is a hurler who has already fanned 116 batters in just-under 83 innings with a 3.16 ERA. Crochet is an absolute must-start regardless of opponent, and he gets the Astros on Wednesday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:23 pm
