• Homers, steals base
Cowser went 2-for-2 with a two-run home run, a walk and a stolen base Sunday against the Phillies.

Advice: Cowser recorded a homer and a steal in the same game for the first time in his career, while the two hits he recorded represent just his second multi-hit effort since May 19. In total, Cowser reached base all four times he came to the plate, including on a walk and a hit-by-pitch. For the season, Cowser is slashing .234/.326/.442 with nine homers, 31 RBI, 28 runs and five steals over 227 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:10 pm
  • Brings home three runs
Wisely went 2-for-6 with two doubles, three RBI and a run scored in Sunday's win over the Angels.

Advice: Wisely doubled in the third inning before knocking a two-run double during the Giants' nine-run fourth. He's produced three multi-hit performances over his last five games and four over his last nine appearances. During that nine-game stretch, he's gone 9-for-31 (.290) with five extra-base hits. Wisely is now slashing .313/.329/.478 through 70 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:33 pm

  • Corbin Carroll doesn’t think injury is serious
Corbin Carroll (ribs) told reporters after Sunday’s game that he doesn’t believe his rib injury is serious.

Advice: He’ll undergo a precautionary MRI exam in Arizona on Monday before traveling to join the team in Washington. Carroll said he felt much better after Sunday’s game though, and is optimistic that he won’t have to miss any time. We’ll have to wait and see what Monday’s imaging yields. • Jake McCarthy has three RBI, swipe in win on Sunday
Jake McCarthy had a nice day at the dish in Sunday’s lopsided victory over the White Sox, going 1-for-2 with a walk, three RBI and a stolen base.

Advice: McCarthy walked in the opening inning and swiped second base, but the Diamondbacks couldn’t cash him in. He then plated a run in the third inning with a fielder’s choice that extended the Diamondbacks’ early lead to 4-1. He tacked on a sacrifice fly in the fourth that made it 8-1 and then smacked a run-scoring triple in the sixth inning that gave the Diamondbacks a 10-run lead. On the season, the 26-year-old outfielder is now hitting .279/.365/.409 with three homers, 18 RBI and 10 stolen bases. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:21 pm

  • Brett Wisely doubles twice, drives in three
Brett Wisely doubled twice and knocked in three runs from the leadoff spot Sunday versus the Angels.

Advice: Wisely has been one of the Giants’ best players when in the lineup, though oddly enough, he’s been much more successful in very limited action in lefty-lefty matchups (1.501 OPS in 16 PA) than versus righties (.592 OPS in 53 PA). Of course, he’s only really playing against righties. His .807 OPS overall demands that he remain in the lineup most of the time for now, whether it’s at the expense of Nick Ahmed or Thairo Estrada. • Slugs grand slam
Varsho went 2-for-5 with a grand slam in Sunday's win versus Cleveland.

Advice: Varsho took Nick Sandlin deep in the fifth inning to record the third grand slam of his career. Varsho has enjoyed a nice start to the month of June, batting .277 with eight extra-base hits and two steals. On the season, the versatile 27-year-old is batting .220 with 11 home runs, 35 RBI, 40 runs scored and seven stolen bases across 67 games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:12 pm

  • Stays hot with homer
Thomas went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's win against Miami.

Advice: Thomas is red-hot, hitting a home run for the third consecutive game and extending his hitting streak to 10 games. During the streak, the 28-year-old is batting .351 with four home runs, eight RBI, nine runs scored and one stolen base. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:59 pm

  • Launches first homer
Young went 2-for-3 with a solo home run in Sunday's win against Miami.

Advice: Young launched the first home run of his career, a fifth-inning blast off Marlins starter Jesus Luzardo. Even with minimal power, the 24-year-old has carved out an everyday role due to his high average and ability to steal bases. Young has played in 60 games on the season, batting .265 with one home run, 17 RBI, 31 runs scored and 17 stolen bases in 21 attempts. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:50 pm
  • Set for MRI on Monday
Carroll (side) will undergo an MRI in Phoenix on Monday, Jody Jackson of Bally Sports Arizona reports.

Advice: Carroll left Sunday's 12-5 win over the White Sox in the seventh inning with left side discomfort, and he will now require some additional imaging. The Diamondbacks will begin a three-game series on the road against the Nationals on Tuesday, and with Carroll staying in Arizona for the MRI on Monday, it's possible that he's forced to miss at least one contest. In his absence, Randal Grichuk would stand to see an increased role in the outfield. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:48 pm
