      Gavin Stone lost to the Diamondbacks after allowing four runs in six innings on Tuesday.

      Advice: Stone came up a little short of delivering a fifth straight quality start and took his first loss since April 7. He gave up eight hits, walked one and struck out five in falling to 4-2 with a 3.60 ERA.       Jansen collected the save Tuesday, allowing one hit and no walks over a scoreless inning against the Rays. He didn't generate a strikeout.

      Advice: Jansen hadn't pitched since allowing a pair of runs and taking a loss May 16 and was able to shake off the rust after allowing a leadoff double to Isaac Paredes in the ninth, retiring three straight batters to pick up his eighth save of the season.       Littell didn't factor into the decision Tuesday against Boston, allowing two runs on three hits and one walk across 5.2 innings. He struck out seven.

      Advice: Littell fared better against the Red Sox the second time around, holding them to three hits Tuesday after yielding seven hits and four runs to Boston in his last start. Though the 28-year-old did surrender a solo homer to Jarren Duran, he tied his season high in strikeouts and fewer than two batters for the sixth time in his last seven starts. Littell hasn't gone deeper than six innings this season but owns a 3.42 ERA and a 1.25 WHIP across 10 appearances. He's scheduled for a home start against the Athletics next Tuesday.       Woo (2-0) earned the win Tuesday, yielding two hits and no walks with seven strikeouts across six scoreless innings against the Yankees.

      Advice: Woo's been excellent to start 2024, allowing just one run across 15.2 innings after missing the first month of the campaign with elbow inflammation. The 24-year-old still seems to be on a pitch count, as he only threw 77 pitches Tuesday and hasn't exceeded 80 pitches in a start this year. He's projected to make another start Sunday at Washington.       Bryan Woo pitched six scoreless innings while striking out seven to earn the win on Tuesday against the Yankees.

      Advice: Woo allowed just two hits in this one and didn’t walk a batter. The second-year pro has now allowed just one earned run over three starts and 15 2/3 innings this season since being activated from the 15-day injured list on May 10th.       Suarez (9-0) earned the win Tuesday over the Rangers, allowing one run on five hits and two walks while striking out 10 over seven innings.

      Advice: Suarez was stellar again Tuesday, holding Texas to a lone run on a Marcus Semien double in the third inning while recording a season-high 10 strikeouts. The 28-year-old southpaw has been a revelation for the Phillies this season -- his ERA is down to a sparkling 1.36 with a 0.79 WHIP and 49:9 K:BB while earning a league-most nine wins across 10 starts (66 innings).     • Ranger Suárez strikes out 10 in win over TEX
      Ranger Suárez allowed one run on five hits in seven innings in a win over the Rangers, striking out 10 and walking just two.

      Advice: He just keeps doing it. Suárez now has a 1.36 ERA on the season to go along with a 9-0 record. He posted just an 18 percent whiff rate on Tuesday but did have a solid 27 percent CSW and he pounded the zone with his sinker and four-seam. No pitch besides the four-seam or sinker had a zone rate over 33 percent, but it didn’t seem to matter on the night. It’s hard to imagine Suárez keeping this up, and his start this weekend in Colorado is certainly risky, but you can’t bench the left-hander while he’s pitching like this.       Zack Littell allowed two earned runs over 5 2/3 innings in Tuesday’s loss to the Red Sox.

      Advice: Littell was pulled with two outs in the sixth inning, which came after a solo homer by Jarren Durran. The veteran righty was solid for much of the afternoon, allowing just three hits and one walk while striking out seven batters. Littell wasn’t in line for the win after leaving with the game tied but he will have a chance to earn his third win of the season in his next start on Tuesday against the Athletics.       Sean Murphy (oblique) homered on Tuesday in a minor league rehab game for Triple-A Gwinnett.

      Advice: Murphy caught seven innings behind the plate and also threw out a runner attempting to steal second base in this one. The 29-year-old backstop looked ready to return to the majors in this one, but he’ll presumably get at least a couple more contests under his belt before heading back to Atlanta.
