    • Charged with loss
Hader (3-4) took the loss Sunday against the Angels after allowing two runs on two hits while striking out a batter over two-thirds of an inning.

Advice: Hader faced five total batters but only was able to record two outs. He entered with two outs in the eighth and got out of the frame. He then returned for the ninth to try and preserve a 7-7 tie and was unable to do so. Hader retired the first batter he faced but then allowed a base hit and a walk off two-run homer to Logan O'Hoppe. It was Hader's first time allowing multiple runs in an outing since April 15 and his first loss since May 5. It's now been a full week since Hader's picked up his last save and he sits at nine for the year after tallying 30+ in each of his last four full seasons. He owns a 4.08 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 46:10 K:BB in 28.2 innings thus far. Rotowire.com Today, 8:12 am

    • Not an option Sunday
Yankees manager Aaron Boone said after Sunday's 6-4 win over the Dodgers that Soto (forearm) "probably" wasn't available off the bench, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.

Advice: Soto went through his normal pregame routine in the hopes of entering Sunday's game as a pinch hitter. Though Boone said that Soto responded well to the pregame workout, the Yankees still opted to err on the side of caution and keep the star outfielder on the bench throughout the night. Soto's status for Monday's series opener versus the Royals thus remains murky after he missed the entirety of the three-game series with the Dodgers due to forearm soreness. • Triples, drives in two
Langford went 2-for-4 with a triple and two RBI during Sunday's win over the Giants.

Advice: Langford recorded his fourth multi-hit game in the last nine while collecting his fifth and sixth RBI over that same span. Langford is starting to show some positive signs after a slow start to the season, lifting his average to .234 with Sunday's effort and hitting .286 with a double and two triples over this most recent nine-game stretch. • Resumes rehab in Brooklyn
Alvarez (thumb) resumed his rehab assignment Sunday with High-A Brooklyn, starting at catcher while going 0-for-5 in a 7-6 loss to Aberdeen.

Advice: After going 3-for-14 with a home run and three walks across the first five games of his rehab assignment, Alvarez had been out of the Brooklyn lineup for each of the previous three days while tending to a family matter in his native Venezuela. He rejoined Brooklyn for its final game of the week, and though he came up empty at the plate, getting additional at-bats under his belt is the more pressing concern for Alvarez as he looks to prove he's made a full recovery from the left thumb surgery he underwent in late April. If the Mets are comfortable with Alvarez's health coming out of Sunday's contest, he could be activated from the 10-day injured list for the start of the big club's series with the Marlins that begins Tuesday. • Could come off bench Sunday
Yankees manager Aaron Boone said that Soto (forearm) will go through his normal pregame routine and may be available off the bench Sunday against the Dodgers, Jorge Castillo of ESPN.com reports.

Advice: Boone also indicated that Soto should rejoin the lineup during the four-game series in Kansas City that begins Monday, as the outfielder appears to be progressing well in his recovery from forearm inflammation. It remains to be seen if the 25-year-old will be back in action Monday against the Royals, but it appears his absence won't extend too much longer. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:21 pm

    • Wyatt Langford has two hits in win over Giants
Wyatt Langford went 2-for-4 with a triple and two RBI in a win over the Giants on Sunday.

Advice: Langford got off to a slow start to his MLB career and then wound up on the IL, but his underlying metrics suggested he deserved better. He was making regular contact and showing a good understanding of the strike zone, but the results weren’t there. Since coming off the IL he’s now gone 10-for-38 with three runs scored and six RBI. He’s still in the lineup essentially every day and sporting a strikeout rate of just 20 percent, which is great for a 22-year-old in his first MLB experience. The hot streak is going to come. • Remaining on bench Sunday
Soto (forearm) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Dodgers.

Advice: Yankees manager Aaron Boone indicated Saturday that Soto likely wouldn't be back in the lineup for a few days, so it's hardly a surprise he's on the bench again Sunday. Boone also indicated the 25-year-old would "probably" take swings Sunday, which could put the outfielder on track to play sometime during the four-game set in Kansas City that begins Monday. • Juan Soto (forearm) not starting Sunday vs. LAD
Juan Soto (forearm) is not in the starting lineup Sunday against the Dodgers.

Advice: As expected, Soto is not in the lineup as he’s day-to-day with a forearm injury. A trip to the injured list hasn’t been ruled out for the outfielder, but for now the Yankees are hopeful he can return to the New York lineup in the coming days. Trent Grisham is starting in center field and hitting fifth in Soto’s absence. Rotoworld Yesterday, 12:11 pm

    • Sitting with hamstring issue
Chapman is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rangers due to a hamstring cramp, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Advice: The 31-year-old felt the cramp during Saturday's contest and will receive Sunday off. Casey Schmitt will take over at third base for the Giants, while Chapman should be considered day-to-day heading into Monday's series opener versus the Astros. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:17 am
