    • Homers in win
Pederson went 1-for-2 with two walks, a solo home run and an additional run scored in Thursday's 12-3 win over the Dodgers.

Advice: Pederson got the rout started early against his former team with a first-inning solo homer. It was his second home run in the last three games and 12th of the season. Pederson maintains career highs in average (.284) and OPS (.896), mostly against right-handed pitching. Just 18 of his 250 plate appearances have come against left-handers. • Surrenders four runs in defeat
Bassitt (7-7) took the loss against Houston on Thursday, allowing four runs on eight hits and four walks while striking out three batters over five innings.

Advice: Bassitt got off to a terrible start in allowing six of the first seven batters he faced to reach base, resulting in three Astros runs. The veteran hurler bounced back to give up just one more run over the remainder of his five frames, but the first-inning damage was enough to send him to his seventh loss of the season. Bassitt had been rolling coming into Thursday, posting a 1.41 ERA across his previous five starts, and the four runs he yielded against Houston were his most since he gave up seven runs against the Dodgers on April 26. Bassitt's overall numbers this season have been pretty much in line with what fantasy managers have come to expect from him -- he has a 3.43 ERA, 1.42 WHIP and 94:41 K:BB across 102.1 frames. • Smacks two-run homer
DeJong went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run during Thursday's 8-4 loss to the Guardians.

Advice: DeJong took Ben Lively yard in the sixth inning, bringing Gavin Sheets around to score. DeJong is up to 16 home runs on the year and owns a .219 ISO, his best tally since 2017. The veteran shortstop is 9-for-35 (.257) with a pair of homers, six RBI and five runs scored over his last nine games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:12 pm

    • Homers among three hits
India went 3-for-5 with a home run and two additional runs in Thursday's 8-4 win against the Yankees.

Advice: India hit one of three homers for Cincinnati, swatting a solo shot in the third inning. He finished with his ninth multi-hit game over his past 12 contests, a stretch during which he's batting a blistering .467 (21-for-45) with Thursday's homer, six RBI, 13 runs and two stolen bases. The hot span has pushed India's season batting average from .241 to .278. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:10 pm

    • Sitting down Thursday
Smith isn't in the Dodgers' lineup for Thursday's game against the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Smith went 0-for-3 with a walk and a run scored during Wednesday's loss, and he'll get a breather during Thursday's rubber match. Austin Barnes will start at catcher instead and bat ninth. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:07 pm

    • Rafael Devers walks three times, drives in two
Rafael Devers drove in two runs while walking three times in a victory over the Marlins in extra-innings Thursday.

Advice: Hard to drive in runs without getting a hit, but Devers is capable of doing anything he set his mind to. He drove in both runs on fielder’s choices. All three of the walks were intentional, which is not something you see too often in 2024, or any year really. He’s now hitting .288/.375/.568 on the season with 51 RBI. • Steals bag in second straight game
Goldschmidt went 1-for-4 with a stolen base and two strikeouts in Thursday's 3-2 over the Pirates.

Advice: Goldschmidt had two hits and a steal in Wednesday's contest, and with another swipe Thursday, it became the 13th time in his career he's recorded stolen bases in back-to-back games. The 2022 NL MVP got off to a rough start this season with two home runs and .530 OPS through 37 games, but he's turned it around nicely since the middle of May. He's now slashing .261/.312/.452 with nine homers, 22 RBI and five steals over his last 46 games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:17 pm
    • Jonathan India picks up three hits, homer in win
Jonathan India scored three runs while going 3-for-5 with a homer in a victory Thursday over the Yankees.

Advice: India doubled the Reds’ lead to 2-0 with a solo blast in the third inning off an ineffective Marcus Stroman. He also singled twice while improving his average to .278 with a .383 on-base percentage. India has been the subject of trade rumors for seemingly forever, but for now, he’s a solid fantasy option at the top of the Cincinnati lineup. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:12 pm

    • Paul DeJong hits 16th homer in loss to Cleveland
Paul DeJong homered while driving in two runs in a loss to the Guardians on Thursday.

Advice: DeJong took Ben Lively deep with a runner on to pick up his 16th homer of the season and cut the Cleveland lead to 7-3. The power has been there for DeJong for the majority of 2024 with those roundtrippers and a .456 slugging mark. It wouldn’t be a surprise if he’s playing for a new team by the end of the month.
