    • Dealing with rotator cuff injury
      Yamamoto (triceps) was diagnosed with a right rotator cuff strain Sunday, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.

      Advice: Yamamoto was lifted from his start Saturday versus the Royals in the third inning with right tricep tightness before being placed on the 15-day injured list Sunday. It is now understood to be a rotator cuff injury, which is certainly a more significant diagnosis. Manager Dave Roberts said that the injury is not "season ending" but it's "going to be some time" before the right-hander will be able to return. In regards to his replacement in the Dodgers' starting rotation, Bobby Miller (shoulder) is expected to return to the major-league roster Wednesday.       Betts (wrist) suffered a fractured bone in his left hand in Sunday's 3-0 win over the Royals.

      Advice: Betts exited the game in the seventh inning in a heap of pain after taking a fastball off his left hand/wrist and he'll now be sidelined for a significant amount of time. On the bright side, manager Dave Roberts said that the 31-year-old will not need surgery to repair the injury.       Dodgers’ manager Dave Roberts told reporters after Sunday’s game that Mookie Betts has been diagnosed with a fractured left hand.

      Advice: The unfortunate injury occurred when he was hit by a 98 mph fastball during Sunday’s game against the Royals. Roberts relayed that while the injury will not require surgery, it will take time to heal. He wouldn’t elaborate on that timetable, other than to say that the injury will not end his 2024 season.       Advice: Betts took a 97.9 mph fastball from reliever Dan Altavilla off his left hand in the bottom of the seventh inning, immediately exiting the contest afterwards.       Mookie Betts was removed from Sunday’s battle against the Royals after being hit in the left hand/wrist area by a 98 mph fastball.

      Advice: The 31-year-old superstar was in obvious pain afterwards and the Dodgers immediately made the call to replace him with pinch-runner Miguel Rojas. He’ll head for X-rays to see if there’s any structural damage. All fantasy managers can do now is wait and hope for the best. The Dodgers should have an update on his status shortly.       Altuve went 2-for-3 with a three-run homer, two runs and a stolen base in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Tigers.

      Advice: With two men on and two out in the second inning, Altuve took Kenta Maeda deep for his 11th long ball of the season. He added another hit and when he reached on a walk in the eighth he picked up his 10th stolen base of the campaign. It was Altuve's second home run in his last seven games after a streak of 17 games without a blast.       Jazz Chisholm Jr. went 2-for-4 with an RBI against the Nationals on Sunday.



      Advice: It was a quiet day for the Marlins offense as they could only muster one run against Washington. Chisholm’s single in the fifth inning temporarily tied the game at one. He’s hitting .260 with a .762 OPS and 34 RBI this year.

      Advice: Padres manager Mike Shildt was also tossed from the game after leaving the dugout to argue with the home-plate umpire. Machado slammed his bat in frustration with the called third strike but didn't make any contact with the umpire, so he shouldn't be subject to any further punishment from MLB.
