    • Cal Raleigh tags three-run homer in loss
Cal Raleigh went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run on Wednesday in a loss to the Yankees.

Advice: The Orioles offense was quiet all night besides Raleigh’s blast. He golfed a changeup from Luke Weaver, which has been one of the best individual pitches in baseball this season, just barely over the right-field fence for his 11th long ball of the season. It would’ve been a homer in fewer than half of the league’s stadiums, but this was the only one that mattered. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:12 pm

    • Headed for MRI
Lowe will undergo an MRI on his right side Thursday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Advice: Manager Kevin Cash labeled Lowe's injury as a "right side strain," though the exact nature of the outfielder's issue will become known once his MRI results come back. Lowe landed on the injured list during spring training due to a right oblique strain and missed the first month-plus of the regular season, and it's possible he could require another stint on the IL due to his latest flareup. • Josh Lowe (side) heading for MRI on Thursday
Rays’ manager Kevin Cash told reporters after Wednesday’s game that Josh Lowe will undergo an MRI exam on his injured side on Thursday.

Advice: Cash also termed the injury “not ideal” saying that it’s being called a right side strain for the time being. We’ll know more on Thursday regarding how long Lowe may be sidelined for, but it sounds like a return trip to the injured list is going to be in order. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:42 pm

    • Comes up short in first loss
Skubal (6-1) took the loss Wednesday as the Tigers were downed 8-3 by the Royals, giving up four runs on six hits and two walks over five innings. He struck out six.

Advice: In a matchup of elite southpaws, Skubal wasn't able to keep pace with Cole Ragans and failed to complete six innings for only the second time this season in 10 starts, while tying his season high in runs allowed. Skubal also served up a solo shot to Nelson Velazquez in the fourth inning, just the fourth homer off him in 60 innings. Skubal will take a 2.25 ERA, 0.85 WHIP and 72:10 K:BB into his next outing, which lines up to come at home next week against the Pirates. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:26 pm

    • Exits with side tightness
Lowe was removed from Wednesday's game against the Red Sox due to right side tightness, Ryan Bass of Bally Sports Sun reports.

Advice: The Rays are officially marking Lowe as day-to-day, so the team doesn't seem too concerned with his injury. Tampa Bay doesn't play Thursday, which will give the 26-year an extra day to rest before potentially returning Friday without missing any games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:52 pm

    • Josh Lowe leaves game with right side tightness
Josh Lowe was pulled from Wednesday’s contest against the Red Sox in the second inning due to tightness in his right side.

Advice: Remember, Lowe just returned from the injured list in the first week of May after missing significant time with an oblique injury. For now, the Rays are calling him day-to-day, though injuries to the side can be tricky. A lot will probably depend on how he’s feeling on Thursday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:44 pm

    • Josh Lowe leaves game due to possible injury
Josh Lowe was removed from Wednesday night’s battle against the Red Sox in the second inning due to an apparent injury.

Advice: No word yet on exactly what happened here, but the dynamic 26-year-old outfielder was pinch-hit for by Jonny DeLuca in the second inning. The Rays should provide an update on Lowe’s status shortly. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:27 pm

    • Tarik Skubal allows four runs in loss to Royals
Tarik Skubal allowed four runs over five innings on Wednesday in a loss to the Royals.

Advice: Fantasy managers were expecting a throwback pitcher’s duel in this one, but Skubal got in trouble right away on Wednesday afternoon as Kansas City struck for a pair of runs in the second inning before Nelson Velázquez took him deep for a fourth-inning solo shot. He finished with six strikeouts and only handed out a pair of free passes. He’ll bring a stellar 2.25 ERA, 0.85 WHIP and 72/10 K/BB ratio across 60 innings (10 starts) into a favorable home matchup on Tuesday against the Pirates. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:38 pm

    • Jhoan Durán gives up homer before earning save
Jhoan Durán picked up his fourth save Wednesday despite giving up a homer in the ninth against the Nationals.

Advice: The homer from Joey Meneses led off the ninth in a two-run game. The next batter singled, at which point Dave Martinez put in speedy Rule 5 pick Nasim Nuñez to run. Martinez, though, just couldn’t help himself and still gave away an out to have Ildemaro Vargas bunt Nuñez over when Nuñez most likely could have stolen the base on his own. Apparently, he was really expecting Joey Gallo to deliver a game-tying single. Durán retired the next two batters to end the game. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:36 pm
