    • Scratched from lineup
Abrams was scratched from Wednesday's lineup versus the Diamondbacks, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.

Advice: The Nationals haven't provided an explanation for why Abrams was scratched, but it's worth noting that he collided with Arizona's Corbin Carroll on the latter's stolen-base attempt in Tuesday's 5-0 loss. The team should provide more information on Abrams' condition later Wednesday. Nasim Nunez will pick up a start at shortstop Wednesday. Rotowire.com Today, 12:44 pm

    • CJ Abrams scratched from Nationals lineup
CJ Abrams was scratched from Wednesday’s lineup for the game against the Diamondbacks.

Advice: No reason was immediately given. Nasim Nuñez is playing shortstop in his place. He went into the ninth spot, so everyone else moved up one place in the lineup. Rotoworld Today, 12:40 pm

    • Swipes bag in loss
Mateo went 0-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base in Tuesday's 4-2 loss to the Yankees.

Advice: Mateo remains in a slump -- he's 0-for-10 over his last four games -- but he's picked up two steals over six contests since he returned from a concussion. With Jordan Westburg (hip) leaving Tuesday's game early, Mateo's playing time could rise in the short term if his teammate is forced to miss additional games. Mateo is at a .231/.280/.431 slash line with four home runs, 16 RBI, 22 runs scored and 12 steals across 48 contests this season. Rotowire.com Today, 9:59 am

    • Goes yard again
O'Neill went 2-for-4 with a double, a solo home run and an additional run during Tuesday's 4-3 win over Toronto.

Advice: After swatting a pair of homers in the series opener against the Blue Jays, O'Neill homered again Tuesday, tagging Brendon Little for a game-tying solo shot in the eighth inning. O'Neill has generated multiple hits in four of his last five games, going 8-for-23 (.348) with four home runs, seven runs scored and seven RBI during that stretch. Rotowire.com Today, 5:07 am
    • Improves to 6-5
Miller (6-5) earned the win Tuesday against the Guardians, allowing three runs (two earned) on six hits and two walks over 5.2 innings. He struck out two.

Advice: It was another solid outing from Miller, who's now allowed just two earned runs over 12.2 innings in his last two starts. While he's been inconsistent at times this year, the 25-year-old Miller has turned in a respectable 3.46 ERA with a 1.01 WHIP and 82:26 K:BB across 15 starts (88.1 innings). Miller will look to keep rolling in his next outing, currently lined up for this weekend in Miami. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:49 pm
    • Bryce Miller survives in win over Guardians
Bryce Miller allowed three runs (two earned) on six hits in 5 2/3 innings in a win over the Guardians on Tuesday.

Advice: Miller walked two and struck out two on the day. He had just six whiffs on 43 swings on the day, leading to a 14 percent whiff rate and 22 percent CSW on the day. The only pitch Miller recorded a whiff on all day was his fastball with his other pitches getting zero whiffs on 16 combined swings. The 25-year-old has a solid 3.46 ERA on the year, but the secondaries have yet to develop in a way that gives us confidence in his swing-and-miss upside this season. He remains a solid fantasy option and should be in for a good start against the Marlins this weekend, but it may take a pitch mix change to unlock the strikeouts that will give him a higher fantasy ceiling. • Abrams pushes hitting streak to 11 games in loss
CJ Abrams went 2-for-4 in the Nationals’ loss to the Diamondbacks on Tuesday.

Advice: Abrams was responsible for two of the Nationals’ four hits on the night, with both coming off starter Slade Cecconi, who was dialed in all evening. Abrams has now hit safely in 11 straight games and is slashing .298/.377/.574 in the month of June. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:17 pm

    • Willson Contreras (forearm) makes rehab debut at DH
Willson Contreras (forearm) went 1-for-3 with a run scored on Tuesday in a minor league rehab game for Triple-A Memphis.

Advice: Contreras got in a handful of at-bats at designated hitter in his first minor league rehab contest since undergoing surgery back in early May to repair a left forearm fracture. There’s a strong possibility he’s back for St. Louis before the end of the month. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:30 pm
    • Idle Tuesday
Santana is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Rays.

Advice: Santana will get the day off Tuesday after making five consecutive starts at first base. Jose Miranda will fill in for Santana at first and bat sixth. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:27 pm
