    • Adley Rutschman finishes 5-for-5 against Astros
Adley Rutschman went 5-for-5 and scored two runs in a loss to the Astros on Friday.

Advice: It’s Rutschman’s second career five-hit game; the other came on Opening Day last year, when he led the Orioles to a 10-9 win over the Red Sox. He also had three hits on Thursday, so he’s raised his average from .288 to .305 the last two days. Rotoworld Today, 12:08 am
    • Converts 14th save
Estevez struck out two in a perfect inning to earn the save in Friday's 3-2 extra-inning win over the Dodgers.

Advice: Estevez has not put a runner on base over his last eight innings, striking out eight and earning seven saves and a win in that span. A groundout moved the initial runner to third base in the 10th inning, but Estevez struck out the next two batters to protect the one-run lead. He's now 14-for-17 in save chances with a 3.38 ERA, 0.83 WHIP and 25:3 K:BB over 24 innings. This is arguably the best Estevez has ever looked in the majors, which will boost his trade value, though he's unlikely to be a primary closer on a different team if a deal comes to fruition. • Carlos Estévez gets save against Dodgers
Carlos Estévez struck out two while picking up a save in a scoreless inning of work against the Dodgers on Friday.

Advice: Estévez has been one of the few bright spots for the Angels this year, and now has 14 saves on the season and a 3.38 ERA. With Los Angeles nowhere near contention for a postseason spot, it would seem likely that the 31-year-old is pitching for a new team before August. Whether that’s in a closing role or not is a big question. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:56 pm
    • Reaches base four times
Abrams (wrist) went 3-for-5 with two doubles, two runs scored, an RBI, a stolen base and a walk in Friday's win over the Rockies.

Advice: Abrams returned to the lineup after missing the previous two games and wasted no time making an impact, ripping a double on the first pitch of the game. He knocked an RBI double later in the game. The 23-year-old shortstop is heating up again; he's gone 13-for-28 (.464) with six extra-base hits over his last eight games. In 12 games prior to that, he posted a .510 OPS with no multi-hit performances. Abrams is now slashing .267/.320/.487 with 33 extra-base hits and 11 steals. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:57 pm

    • Drives in four runs
Thomas went 3-for-6 with a double, four RBI and two runs scored in Friday's win over Colorado.

Advice: Thomas finished a home run shy of the cycle as he stuff the stat sheet Friday. He knocked an RBI single in the third inning and a two-run double in the fourth before capping his day off with an RBI triple in the sixth. Thomas struggled early in the year but in 24 games since returning from a knee injury, he's gone 27-for-94 (.287) with 13 extra-base this and 18 RBI. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:52 pm

    • Lane Thomas drives in four in win over Rockies
Lane Thomas drove in four runs while picking up three hits in an 11-5 win over the Rockies on Friday.

Advice: One of those hits was a triple, and it scored CJ Abrams to give Washington their 11-5 win. He also doubled in a pair with another RBI coming on a single. Thomas also scored two runs while improving his slash to .238/.297/.420 along with 16 stolen bases in 46 games. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:41 pm

    • Tosses five frames
Singer yielded a run on three hits and two walks over five innings in a no-decision Friday. He struck out four during the loss to Texas.

Advice: Singer turned in three scoreless frames before Wyatt Langford knocked an RBI double in the fourth inning. It was the only damage against Singer through five innings, but the Royals bullpen would go on to allow five runs in the sixth and cost him a win. It was his first start without allowing a homer since May 19; in his previous four outings, he was taken deep six times, resulting in a 5.31 ERA. Singer lowered his season ERA to 3.29 with an 80:25 K:BB through 82 frames. He's currently in line for a home start against the Marlins next week. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:19 pm
    • Brady Singer pitches well in no-decision on Friday
Brady Singer pitched well in a no-decision against the Rangers on Friday night, allowing just one run on three hits over his five frames.

Advice: Singer racked up four strikeouts on the evening while surrendering a pair of free passes. The lone run that scored against him came on an RBI double off the bat of Wyatt Langford in the fourth inning. Singer exited with a 2-1 lead and in line for a victory, but the Royals’ bullpen was unable to oblige. The 27-year-old hurler got nine whiffs on 89 pitches on the night, registering a CSW of 24 percent. He’ll carry a 3.29 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and an 80/25 K/BB ratio (82 innings) into Wednesday’s matchup against the Marlins. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:49 pm
    • Chris Sale stifles Yankees, earns win
Chris Sale struck out eight Yankees and allowed just one run across five innings in an 8-1 win on Friday. He walked three while the Yankees had just one hit.

Advice: Sale was on one in this start. Aaron Judge and Juan Soto were a combined 0-for-4 with four punch outs against the gangly left-hander and just two Yankees reached second base. More notable, Sale’s velocity was up nearly two ticks across the board. His fastball topped out at 98.4 MPH, the fastest he’s thrown a pitch in more than 13 months. Healthy, dominant, fiery, Sale looks like his old self and a bona fide Cy Young candidate so far this season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:30 pm
