      Daulton Varsho went 2-for-4 with a grand slam against the Guardians on Sunday.



      Advice: The home run was Varsho’s 11th of the season. He could’ve had an even bigger game as he came up with the bases loaded again in the eighth inning, but he struck out. While he’s only hitting .220, he’s produced in the power categories with 11 home runs and 35 RBI. His .238 ISO is even higher than his .207 iSO in 2022 when he hit 27 home runs with the Diamondbacks.

    • Berrios allows four in win Sunday
      Jose Berrios allowed four runs in six innings and got the win in the Blue Jays’ 7-4 victory over the Guardians on Sunday.



      Advice: Berrios gave up eight hits, walked none and struck out one. The win was his sixth of the season. Berrios won four out of seven starts in April, but has now won only two of his last eight starts. His ERA is 3.13 on the year, but his xFIP is 4.18. Berrios’ saving grace this year has been his 86 percent left on base percentage. Even on a day where he only left 65 percent of runners on base, he still was a little lucky. In the fifth inning, the Guardians loaded the bases with no outs, but Cleveland only scored two runs on an RBI single by Steven Kwan and a double play by Tyler Freeman. The 30-year-old right-hander is set to face the Guardians on the road next week.

      Austin Riley went 2-for-4 with a game-tying two-run home run and two runs scored on Sunday against the Rays.

      Miles Mikolas allowed one earned run across 6 ⅔ on Sunday in a 2-1 win over the Cubs. He struck out five and didn’t walk a batter.

      Advice: Mikolas cruised against the scuffling Cubs on Sunday. The only run on his ledger was an inherited runner that came around after he was yanked and had a fantastic start overall.     • Parker picks up fifth win against Marlins Sunday
      Mitchell Parker allowed one run in six innings and got the win in the Nationals’ 3-1 victory over the Marlins on Sunday.



      Advice: Parker gave up six hits, walked none and struck out three. The win was his fifth of the year. It was also Parker’s fifth quality start in 12 starts this year. His ERA is 3.06 on the year despite a 4.02 xFIP. Parker does everything well except get a lot of strikeouts. He has a 42 percent ground ball percentage. Parker’s allowed 0.80 HR/9 and 2.00 BB/9. He’s doing everything he can to prop up an 18 percent strikeout percentage, which gives him a fragile profile. The 24-year-old left-hander is set to face the Rockies on the road next week.

      De La Cruz went 0-for-3 with a walk, a stolen base and a run scored in Saturday's 3-1 loss to Milwaukee.

      Advice: De La Cruz made his impact in the ninth inning when he walked, stole second base and came home on Jeimer Candelario's double. The theft was De La Cruz's league-leading 35th of the season. His stolen-base attempts have dropped during the month of June.       Riley went 1-for-2 with a three-run home run and two walks in Saturday's 9-2 victory against the Rays.

      Advice: Riley broke the game open in the seventh frame with his three-run shot to center field that gave Atlanta an 8-1 lead. It was the second straight contest with a long ball for the third baseman following a 23-game homerless stretch (and a 45-game span during which he went deep only once). Riley may finally be getting his power on track, but with just five long balls through 233 plate appearances, he'll be hard-pressed to reach 30 homers for the fourth straight season.       Advice: Ozuna hit one of three Atlanta homers in the fifth inning, cracking a two-run shot to center field. The long ball was Ozuna's 20th of the campaign, third-most in the majors.       Advice: Garcia has two steals over his last six games, though he hasn't driven in a run in that span. The veteran outfielder is up to six thefts, 13 home runs, 40 RBI and 34 runs scored while slashing a shaky .218/.276/.417 through 67 contests.
