    • Shelled for six runs
Severino did not factor into the decision in Tuesday's 7-6 win over Texas, allowing six runs on eight hits and one walk over 6.1 innings. He struck out one.

Advice: After yielding just one run through four innings, the New York right-hander unraveled in the fifth, allowing five runs on five hits, including two homers. Severino also produced only five whiffs on his way to collecting a season-worst one strikeout. The 30-year-old's velocity on his entire arsenal was down in this outing, anchored by a sinker that averaged 94.5 mph, down 1.2 mph. Severino is currently scheduled to make his next start against his former team -- the Yankees -- at home next week. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:50 pm
    • Mark Vientos homers, scores three times in victory
Mark Vientos went 3-for-5 with a homer and three runs scored as the Mets came from behind the edge the Rangers 7-6 on Tuesday.

Advice: The Mets were down 6-2 after five, yet still won their seventh game in a row. Vientos is now batting a cool .317/.375/.554 with six homers in 112 plate appearances. He’s not going to keep hitting for average like this, but the power is legit. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:46 pm

    • Luis Severino gives up six runs to Rangers
Luis Severino was tagged for six runs in 6 1/3 innings by the Rangers on Tuesday.

Advice: Severino struck out one and gave up two homers, which is never a good ratio. His velocity was down a bit tonight, and he wound up with just five missed swings and a 17% CSW. As much twitter concern as there was about Severino after his season debut 2 1/2 months ago, this is probably his most discouraging outing of the season to date. We wouldn’t want to play him in his start against the Yankees next week. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:46 pm
    • Edwin Díaz works scoreless ninth for save
Edwin Díaz pitched a scoreless ninth with a one-run lead for his seventh save Tuesday against the Rangers.

Advice: The ninth started with a bloop single that third baseman Mark Vientos probably should have caught in shallow left, but it appeared he got spooked by Brandon Nimmo’s arrival. Fortunately, the ball was hit by Johan Heim, who settled for a single when an average runner might have gotten a double. A double play followed, and Díaz then got a flyout to end the game. • Andrés Muñoz locks down save in win
Andrés Muñoz pitched 1 2/3 scoreless innings to lock down the Mariners’ 8-5 win over the Guardians on Tuesday.

Advice: The Mariners brought Muñoz in with the bases loaded with one out in the eighth inning and the Mariners up by four runs. He got a groundout which allowed one run to score but then induced another groundout to end the threat. The 25-year-old has battled through back injuries all season but still has a 1.47 ERA and now has 13 saves. The biggest threat to his value appears to simply be that the Mariners have no problem bringing him in before the ninth inning which will sometimes prevent him from earning saves. • Alek Manoah undergoes Tommy John surgery
Alek Manoah underwent season-ending Tommy John surgery on Monday.

Advice: It ended up being a hybrid ligament replacement with an internal brace procedure that is expected to keep Manoah sidelined for the next 12-14 months. The 26-year-old righty wound up making just five starts this season for Toronto. At this point, it’s getting difficult to envision him being fantasy-relevant ever again. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:34 pm

    • Brenton Doyle back in lineup Tuesday vs. Dodgers
Brenton Doyle (knee) is in the lineup for Tuesday’s game against the Dodgers.

Advice: Doyle is back in center field for the second consecutive contest after sitting out a pair of contests over the weekend due to left knee tendinitis. It doesn’t sound like a serious concern moving forward for fantasy managers to worry about. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:36 pm

    • Three hits in big win
Vientos went 3-for-5 with a double and two runs scored in Monday's win over the Rangers.

Advice: The 24-year-old snapped out of an offensive swoon that had seen him bat .188 (6-for-32) over the prior 10 games. Vientos has a hammerlock on the starting job at third base for the Mets -- since returning to the majors in mid-May, he's slashing .292/.360/.494 with four homers and 14 RBI in 26 contests. His defense has even gotten more reliable, as he's committed only one error during that stretch and has a minus-2.9 UZR/150 through 206.1 innings at the hot corner, a huge improvement on the minus-13.4 UZR/150 he managed in 153 innings last year. • Fans seven in no-decision
Assad allowed one run on five hits and two walks while striking out seven batters over five innings in a no-decision against San Francisco on Monday.

Advice: Assad needed 92 pitches to get through five frames, but he was effective during his time on the mound, limiting the Giants to just a fourth-inning run. However, the right-hander couldn't pick up his first win since mid-May, as Chicago's offense wasn't able to push across a run until after his departure. Nonetheless, this was a nice bounce-back for Assad after he surrendered seven earned runs over 10.1 frames across his previous two outings. Rotowire.com Monday, 9:47 pm
