      Mookie Betts was removed from Sunday’s battle against the Royals after being hit in the left hand/wrist area by a 98 mph fastball.

      Advice: The 31-year-old superstar was in obvious pain afterwards and the Dodgers immediately made the call to replace him with pinch-runner Miguel Rojas.       Advice: Lugo did a great job of working his way out of trouble for most of the contest, with the exception of the fourth inning when he allowed back-to-back hits to open the frame and also hit Jason Heyward with a pitch before eventually surrendering two runs. The right-hander would allow just two more hits over his final two innings of work, notching his 11th quality start of the season and his first this month.       Advice: Rodon had posted a quality start in each outing during his seven-game winning streak, but both impressive stretches were snapped Saturday. The Red Sox put up all five runs against Rodon during the first two innings, and the Yankees' offense wasn't able to muster a comeback. The southpaw still has a strong 3.28 ERA with a 1.11 WHIP and 81:23 K:BB through 85 innings over 15 starts this year.       Seth Lugo gave up two runs in six innings to get a win against the Dodgers on Saturday.

      Advice: The victory is already the 10th of the season for Lugo. The right-hander allowed a two-run single to Gavin Lux in the fourth, but outside of that he handled the Dodgers lineup without many issues. He scattered six hits allowed while walking just one and striking out four. Lugo has been excellent in 2024, and it’d be a surprise if he wasn’t an All-Star at this point.
