    • Miranda goes 4-for-4, has hits in 10 straight AB
Jose Miranda finished 4-for-4 with a homer, a double and three runs scored Friday against the Astros.

Advice: Incredibly, the Twins pinch-hit for Miranda in the ninth, even though he had delivered hits in 10 consecutive at-bats, and it worked, as Austin Martin singled off Luis Contreras. Still, the Twins went on to lose anyway, Miranda is 25-for-50 in his last 13 games, raising his average from .277 to .324 and his OPS from .778 to .893. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:53 pm

    • Doyle hits go-ahead two-run double against Royals
Brenton Doyle hit a go-ahead two-run double to give the Rockies a 4-2 win over the Royals on Friday.

Advice: Doyle turned a 2-2 game into a 4-2 lead with the Rockies with a ground-rule double that scored Aaron Schunk and Ryan McMahon and ultimately gave Colorado the victory. After being one of the worst offensive players in baseball in 2024, Doyle has shocked with a very useable slash of .274/.335/.436, and his .731 OPS is quite the improvement on his .593 mark in 2023. • Goes deep again Friday
Pederson went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run in Friday's 10-8 loss to the Padres.

Advice: Pederson has gone 5-for-13 with three homers and four RBI over his first four games in July. The slugger is up to 13 long balls, 38 RBI, 34 runs scored and four stolen bases across 250 plate appearances this season. He's managed to hit for both average (.289) and power (.531 slugging percentage), though he's typically had trouble maintaining the former over the course of a full season. • Secures 14th save
Munoz pitched a perfect inning to earn the save in Friday's 2-1 win over the Blue Jays.

Advice: This was Munoz's first save since June 18 -- he blew a save June 24, which was his only opportunity over his last five appearances. The right-hander has seen the most high-leverage spots rather than being strictly confined to the ninth inning. He faced the 9-1-2 hitters Friday to earn his 14th save in 16 chances this year. Munoz has added a 1.54 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 43:14 K:BB across 35 innings while adding six holds. With Munoz's usage being more flexible, Ryne Stanek has forced his way into the closer conversation, though the Mariners' recent poor play hasn't led to many save chances for either reliever. • Andrés Muñoz nails down save against Blue Jays
Andrés Muñoz didn’t allow a hit while picking up a save against the Blue Jays on Friday.

Advice: Muñoz got all three outs on the ground. He hasn’t missed bats at the elite level he did the last two years, but he’s been effective regardless with a miniscule 1.56 ERA and 14 saves. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:13 pm
    • Sets franchise record in loss
Miranda went 4-for-4 with a homer, a double, two RBI and three runs scored in Friday's 13-12 loss to the Astros.

Advice: Miranda came a triple shy of the cycle and set a Twins franchise record in the seventh inning by tallying his 10th consecutive plate appearance with a hit. The 26-year-old launched a 414-foot solo shot off Shawn Dubin earlier in the game for his ninth homer of the season. Miranda now sports a nine-game hit streak over which he's batted an absurd .559 (19-for-34) with seven extra base hits, 12 RBI and 11 runs scored. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:57 pm

    • Cracks three hits against Royals
Doyle went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBI in Friday's 4-2 victory over Kansas City.

Advice: Doyle gave the Rockies the lead in the eighth with a ground-rule double off John Schreiber to plate two runs. The Colorado center fielder has been scorching hot over his last seven games, hitting .428 (12-for-28) with four homers, four doubles, nine RBI and five runs scored. Doyle entered the season as a speed threat but is rounding into a stalwart in the batter's box too, as he's slashing .274/.335/.436 with 10 homers, 49 runs scored and 34 RBI across 341 plate appearances. • Max Fried can’t stop Phillies’ bats
Max Fried allowed 11 hits and five earned runs in six innings of work on Friday against the Phillies. He struck out four and walked one in a loss.

Advice: This was a pivotal game for the Braves as they try to claw their way back into the NL East race and Fried simply did not have it. He lived in the heart of the zone and the Phillies made him pay time and time again. They had base runners in five out of six innings and looked incredibly comfortable in the box all night. Fried was fortunate to get through this start with only five earned runs. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:48 pm

    • Coughs up five runs
Fried (7-4) allowed five runs on 11 hits and a walk over six innings Friday, striking out four and taking a loss against the Phillies.

Advice: Fried worked through three scoreless frames before beginning to unravel. He gave up three runs in the fourth inning and two more in the sixth. Of the five runs he allowed, four came via a pair of two-run shots from Trea Turner. Fried had given up just three runs over his previous three starts but saw his season ERA jump from 2.91 to 3.18 after Friday's hiccup. His next start is lined up to be in Arizona.
