    • Correa belts fifth home run Thursday
Carlos Correa went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI against the Yankees on Thursday.

Advice: The home run was Correa’s fifth of the season. He later added a sacrifice fly and a single. Correa is hitting .263 with a .765 OPS and 24 RBI on the year. His .190 ISO would be his highest since his .205 ISO in 2021, his last year in Houston. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:33 pm

    • Holmes picks up 18th save against Twins
Clay Holmes tossed a scoreless inning and picked up the save against the Twins on Thursday.

Advice: The save was Holmes’ 18th of the season. He has allowed an earned run in only one of 28 appearances this year. Holmes has been fabulous with a 1.32 ERA and 28 strikeouts on the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:24 pm

    • Tanner Houck whiffs nine in win over White Sox
Tanner Houck recorded nine strikeouts and yielded two runs over seven innings on Thursday in a win over the White Sox.

Advice: Houck delivered a dominant performance at Guaranteed Rate Field, carrying a no-hitter into the sixth inning before finally surrendering a leadoff single to Lenyn Sosa and a run-scoring double to Zach DeLoach later in the frame to break up the potential shutout. He got 14 runs of support on 24 hits from Boston’s lineup to allow him to cruise to an easy victory. The 27-year-old righty has emerged as a reliable fantasy contributor this season, allowing three runs or fewer in 12 of his 13 starts so far. He’ll bring a stellar 1.91 ERA, 0.92 WHIP and 84/15 K/BB ratio across 85 innings (13 starts) into a home outing on Wednesday against the Phillies. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:52 pm

    • Greene allows four, gets fourth win Thursday
Hunter Greene allowed four runs in 6 2/3 innings and got the win in the Reds’ 8-4 victory over the Cubs on Thursday.

Advice: Greene gave up five hits, walked two and struck out eight. The win was his fourth in 13 starts this season. It was a bit of a mixed bag for Greene with two home runs allowed and eight strikeouts. He has a 3.61 ERA on the season, but a 4.23 xFIP. The 24-year-old right-hander is set to face the Guardians at home next week. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:46 pm

    • José Ramírez homers, drives in two against Royals
José Ramírez homered and drove in two runs in a loss Thursday to the Royals.

Advice: J-Ram took Brady Singer deep for his 17th homer of the season. He also drove in a run with an infield single. The 31-year-old has been outstanding in 2024 with 60 RBI, nine stolen bases and an .887 OPS. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:12 pm

    • Provides winning hit
Steer went 1-for-5 with a home run and two RBI in Wednesday's 12-7 win over the Rockies.

Advice: Steer's two-run shot in the top of the ninth plated the tying and go-ahead runs for the Reds, who swept the Rockies in Colorado for the first time since 2012. He's cranked it up to start the new month with hits in five straight games, going 11-for-23 with a home run, two doubles and five RBI. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:19 am

    • Yields five runs
Taillon allowed five runs on 10 hits and a walk while striking out six over five innings in a no-decision versus the White Sox.

Advice: Taillon gave up a leadoff home run to Corey Julks and then surrendered four more runs in the fourth inning. The Cubs were able to cover the damage for Taillon, allowing him to escape with a third straight no-decision. The right-hander has given up at least three runs in his last four starts and now has a 3.47 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and 35:13 K:BB over 49.1 innings through nine outings on the year. He's projected to make his next start on the road versus the Rays. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 9:17 pm
    • Rocked by Pirates
Paxton (5-1) took the loss Wednesday, allowing seven runs (six earned) on six hits and two walks across 1.2 innings against Pittsburgh. He struck out two.

Advice: Paxton retired the side in the first inning but endured a nightmare second frame. He gave up a walk, three singles and a double to the first five batters he faced as part of a seven-run inning by the Pirates that Paxton didn't finish. The veteran lefty has been shaky over his last four starts, surrendering 15 runs over 15.1 innings while allowing multiple homers in two of those outings and Wednesday's start ballooned Paxton's ERA from 3.29 to 4.19. He'll look to get back on track with a scheduled start against the Rangers on Tuesday. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 8:42 pm

    • Jameson Taillon surrenders five runs vs. White Sox
Jameson Taillon allowed five runs with six strikeouts over five innings in a no-decision against the White Sox on Wednesday.

Advice: Taillon served up a solo homer to Corey Julks to start the game in the first inning. He worked through a pair of scoreless inning before the White Sox brought four more runs in to score in the fourth on six base hits. Taillon would remain to toss one more frame, ending his day after five innings at 75 pitches. The 32-year-old right-hander will carry a 3.47 ERA, 1.36 WHIP, and a 35/13 K/BB ratio across 49 1/3 innings into a start against the Rays in Tampa Bay on Tuesday. Rotoworld Wednesday, 8:12 pm
