    • Rebounds for 14th save
Holmes earned the save in Thursday's 5-0 win over Seattle, allowing two hits while striking out a pair in 1.1 innings.

Advice: Holmes came on in relief in the eighth after Nick Burdi loaded the bases. He'd induce a grounder off the bat of Luke Raley for the final out before working around a pair of singles in the ninth to earn his 14th save. It's a nice bounce-back effort from Holmes, after he allowed four runs in a blown save against Seattle on Monday, the first four runs he's allowed this season. Overall, the 31-year-old right-hander sports a 1.64 ERA with a 1.23 WHIP and 25:6 K:BB across 22 innings this year. Rotowire.com 45 minutes ago
    • Giancarlo Stanton scorches homer in win over Mariners
Giancarlo Stanton swatted a solo homer and drew a walk in a win over the Mariners on Thursday.

Advice: Stanton absolutely blistered a Luis Castillo offering into Monument Park to give New York a 1-0 lead. The 6-foot-6 power bat has gone deep 12 times in 2024, and he’s up to 27 RBI with the roundtripper. Rotoworld Today, 12:22 pm
    • O’s place John Means on IL with forearm strain
Orioles placed LHP John Means on the 15-day injured list with a left forearm strain.

Advice: It’s a sad turn of events for the 31-year-old who seems to be working his way back from arm injuries continuously. He made just four starts this season and left his last one with elbow discomfort. The Orioles have not yet announced the extent of the injury but given that Means has only thrown a combined 31 2/3 innings since 2021, it may be time to make other plans for fantasy leagues. Cole Irvin should move back into the rotation and Jonathan Heasley was called up in a corresponding move. Rotoworld Today, 9:22 am

    • Heads to IL with strained forearm
The Orioles placed Means on the 15-day injured list Thursday with a left forearm strain, Dan Connolly of The Athletic reports.

Advice: It's the same injury that forced Means to the IL prior to Opening Day. The left-hander experienced a flareup of the forearm issue during his latest start Wednesday in St. Louis. He'll be eligible to return from the IL in early June, but it's possible he'll need more time than the minimum 15 days given that it's a recurring injury. Cole Irvin is the likeliest candidate to slide into Means' spot in Baltimore's rotation. Rotowire.com Today, 9:14 am

    • Launches fourth home run
Correa went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 3-2 win over the Nationals.

Advice: Correa extended Minnesota's lead to 2-0 with two outs in the sixth inning with a solo shot off Jake Irvin, his fourth of the year and second in three days. The 29-year-old Correa has a hit in five straight games, going 5-for-17 with a 1.133 OPS in that span. He's now slashing .268/.362/.455 on the season with 13 RBI and 18 runs scored through 130 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Today, 7:40 am
    • Back in slump
Arozarena went 1-for-4 with a walk Wednesday against the Red Sox.

Advice: Arozarena had a surge in power for the first two weeks of May with five homers in the first 12 games of the month, but he has struggled for the last week. In his last seven games, he has hit just .172 with a 29 percent strikeout to go along with three runs scored and no RBI. Arozarena's eight home runs and seven stolen bases for the season are salvaging his production, but that's paired with a .162 average and .262 wOBA. Rotowire.com Today, 6:49 am
    • Takes second loss
Glasnow (6-2) was tagged with the loss against the Arizona on Wednesday, allowing three runs on four hits and one walk while striking out six over five innings.

Advice: Glasnow cruised through the first four innings before allowing three consecutive batters to reach base with one out in the fifth, eventually leading to three runs coming across for Arizona. He would make it through the frame but didn't return for the sixth, marking the second straight start in which he's been unable to make it through at least six innings. The right-hander is now 1-2 in May after going 5-1 in his first six decisions to open the campaign. However, he still sports a healthy 34:5 K:BB through four starts this month. • Goes deep in win
Olson went 2-for-5 in Wednesday's win over the Cubs with a solo home run.

Advice: Olson launched a two-out, solo homer in the top of the seventh to extend Atlanta's lead to seven runs, giving the first baseman his fourth long ball this month and seventh overall on the season. The veteran first baseman also added a single on the night, marking his ninth multi-hit performance of the campaign and fifth in his last nine games. He's now hit safely in eight of his last 10 contests, tallying three homers and eight RBI over that stretch. Rotowire.com Today, 3:54 am

    • Tyler Glasnow allows three runs in loss to D-Backs
Tyler Glasnow allowed three runs with six strikeouts over five innings in a loss to the Diamondbacks on Wednesday.

Advice: Glasnow had worked around a pair of hits and an error through four scoreless innings before the Diamondbacks got to him in the fifth. A walk and a single put two runners on for Corbin Carroll, who brought both runners in to score on a triple. A wild pitch allowed Carroll to cross home for the third run. Glasnow would complete the frame and was done after five on 95 pitches. He struck out six. The 30-year-old right-hander will take a 3.09 ERA, 0.91 WHIP, and an 87/17 K/BB ratio across 67 innings into a start against the Mets in New York on Tuesday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:58 pm
