    • Nightengale: Phillies are interested in Rooker
According to USA Today’s Bob Nightengale, the Phillies “are keeping a close eye on Oakland A’s left fielder Brent Rooker.”

Advice: The Phillies have not gotten much from their left field spot in 2024, which Brandon Marsh has regularly occupied. On the year, the Phillies rank 26th in OPS among left fielders this season, which Rooker would likely improve. He would also add another big power bat with some swing-and-miss in his game but could make the Phillies lineup even deeper for a playoff run. It would obviously be a big boost to his fantasy value if he were traded to Philadelphia. Rotoworld 54 minutes ago

    • Generates another quality start
Kirby didn't factor into the decision Sunday against the Blue Jays, allowing three runs on seven hits and a walk over six-plus innings. He struck out eight.

Advice: Kirby posted a sixth straight quality start and left the contest having allowed just one run. However, he left a pair of runners on the basepaths, both of which came in to score on a George Springer home run to finalize Kirby's earned run total at three. Kirby is tied for the 10th most quality starts in baseball and ranks top-10 in innings pitched with 111.2. He owns a 3.39 ERA and a 1.00 WHIP along with an outstanding 109:11 K:BB on the year. He's scheduled to face the Angels next weekend. Rotowire.com Today, 12:51 am

    • Fans 10 in no-decision
Berrios didn't factor into the decision Sunday against Seattle, allowing four runs on seven hits and a walk over six innings. He struck out 10.

Advice: Berrios had issues keeping the ball in the park Sunday, with a Victor Robles solo homer and a three-run home run by Mitch Garver accounting for the Mariners four runs on the day. Berrios' struggles with the long ball aren't particularly new, as the 30-year-old has surrendered a round tripper in seven consecutive starts and has yielded multiple homers five times this season. However, there was a silver lining for Sunday's start, with Berrios setting a season high in strikeouts. He's on track to face the Diamondbacks in Arizona next weekend. Rotowire.com Today, 12:50 am
    • Drives in three runs
Conforto went 1-for-4 with a home run and three RBI in Sunday's loss to Cleveland.

Advice: Conforto opened the scoring with a two-run shot in the second inning and later brought home a run with an RBI groundout in the ninth. It was his first home run since June 26 and just the second over his last 25 appearances. Conforto is slashing .240/.306/.450 with 35 RBI and 26 extra-base hits through 67 games. • Allows rare run
Clase earned a save over the Giants on Sunday. He gave up a run on one hit in one inning of work.

Advice: Clase coughed up an out-of-character run on a Michael Conforto groundout. Clase was still able to close out the 5-4 win and pick up his 27th save of the year. He's given up just four earned runs through 42.1 innings this season, resulting in a 0.85 ERA. Sunday's outing snapped a nine-inning scoreless streak. Clase has converted 14 straight save chances and is 27 for 30 in 2024. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:43 pm
    • Jose Berrios punches out 10 in no-decision
Jose Berrios piled up 10 strikeouts over six innings of four-run baseball in a no-decision against the Mariners on Sunday afternoon in Seattle.

Advice: Overall, Berrios scattered seven hits on the afternoon while issuing one base on balls. All of the damage done against him came via the long ball, with Victor Robles launching a solo homer in the third inning and Mitch Garver crushing a three-run shot in the fifth. Berrios got 13 whiffs on 98 pitches in the ballgame, posting a CSW of 31 percent. He now holds a 3.76 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and an 87/29 K/BB ratio over 115 innings through his first 19 starts on the season. He’ll toe the slab against the Diamondbacks his next time out in Arizona on Saturday night. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:47 pm
    • George Kirby posts quality start in no-decision
George Kirby logged a quality start in a no-decision against the Blue Jays on Sunday afternoon, giving up three runs on seven hits over his six-plus frames.

Advice: The right-hander racked up eight strikeouts on the day while allowing only one base on balls. The Jays scratched out a run against him in the fourth inning on a sacrifice fly by Alejandro Kirk. Kirby then allowed a pair of singles to start the seventh inning before turning the ball over to the bullpen — and both runs ultimately scored. The 26-year-old hurler got 16 swings and misses on 93 pitches in the contest — 10 of those on his heater — while posting a strong CSW of 33 percent. He’ll look to finish his first half strong as he brings a 3.39 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and a 109/11 K/BB ratio (111 2/3 innings) into Saturday’s showdown against the Angels in Los Angeles. • Emmanuel Clase earns 27th save
Emmanuel Clase allowed one run on one hit but secured the save in a 5-4 win over the Giants on Sunday.

Advice: Clase allowed a one-out double to Matt Chapman before Chapman advanced to third on a catcher’s interference and then scored on a groundout. Overall, it was a good appearance for Clase, who now has 27 saves to go along with a 0.85 ERA on the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:53 pm
    • Conforto hits home run in loss
Michael Conforto went 1-for-4 with a home run and three RBI in a loss to the Guardians on Sunday.

Advice: The veteran blasted a 440-foot two-run shot off of Carlos Carrasco and then added an RBI groundout in the ninth inning to get the Giants back to within one run. Conforto started the season hot but then cooled considerably before heating back up again. Over his last 15 games, Conforto is 11-for-29 (.282) with two home runs, 13 RBI, and five runs scored. That keeps him firmly on the radar in deeper mixed leagues. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:49 pm
