    • Adbert Alzolay (forearm) throws 30-pitch bullpen
Adbert Alzolay (forearm) threw a successful 30-pitch bullpen session on Tuesday.

Advice: The 29-year-old hurler continues to work his way back from a right forearm flexor strain that has had him shelved since mid-May. He’s getting close to facing live hitters and a minor league rehab assignment could soon follow. If everything goes according to plan, Alzolay could be able to rejoin the Cubs’ bullpen before the end of July. Rotoworld 26 minutes ago

    • Throws bullpen session
Alzolay (forearm) threw a 30-pitch bullpen session Tuesday, Taylor McGregor of Marquee Sports Network reports.

Advice: Alzolay appears to have responded well to what was his first time throwing off a mound since he was shelved with a flexor strain in mid-May. Before coming off the 60-day injured list, Alzolay will need to make multiple rehab appearances in the minors, and it's unclear when he might be ready to begin an assignment. • On base four times in loss
Rooker went 2-for-3 with an RBI double, two walks and three runs in a loss to the Red Sox on Tuesday.

Advice: Rooker got the offensive barrage started in the first inning with his timely two-bagger, which plated Miguel Andujar for the initiation of what would be a 21-run tally between the two clubs. The veteran was a constant presence on the basepaths throughout the high-scoring affair, and he's now posted six multi-hit efforts in the last 11 games. Rooker, an All-Star snub, is displaying elite bat skills during that stretch, posting a .436/.500/.795 slash line alongside a 10.9 percent walk rate and modest 17.4 percent strikeout rate. • Gets aboard four times Tuesday
Kwan went 3-for-5 with a walk and two runs scored in Tuesday's 9-8 extra-inning win over the Tigers.

Advice: Kwan was one of three Guardians, along with Jose Ramirez and Josh Naylor, to log three hits Tuesday. That trio set the table for a potent offensive showing in the high-scoring game, just one day after Monday's 1-0 victory for the Tigers. Kwan is batting .324 (11-for-34) in July across eight games, and he's slashing .363/.418/.531 with nine home runs, 27 RBI, 54 runs scored and four stolen bases over 64 contests this season. • Two more homers in Tuesday's win
Raleigh went 3-for-5 with a pair of two-run homers, a double and three runs scored in Tuesday's 8-3 win over the Padres.

Advice: The switch-hitting Raleigh was able to accomplish hitting a home run from both sides of the plate Tuesday night. He began with a two-run blast in the third from the left side and then matched it with a two-run shot from the right side in the seventh to put the Mariners up 7-0. Raleigh has just 62 hits this season and is hitting .210, but 17 of those have gone for home runs, leading to 55 RBI, which is tied for second among catchers. Raleigh has never been a guy to hit for much average but has always made up for it in the power department. His 74 home runs since the beginning of 2022 lead all catchers in the MLB and his 17 homers this season are the most by a Mariners' catcher before the All-Star break. The 27-year-old is slashing .210/.295/.414 and is on pace for career highs in home runs and RBI. Rotowire.com Today, 6:22 am

    • Picks up 28th save
Clase got the save in Tuesday's 9-8 extra-inning win over the Tigers. He pitched one inning and allowed one unearned run on two hits.

Advice: Clase allowed the phantom runner to score in the bottom of the 10th but worked around trouble to get his 28th save. The 26-year-old was named an All-Star for the third straight season thanks to his minuscule 0.83 ERA through 44 appearances. Clase is as consistent as they come in a position that can have volatility -- he's led MLB in saves each of the last two seasons and trails only Ryan Helsley in 2024. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:16 pm
    • Delivers winning run
Garcia went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 5-4 win over the Angels.

Advice: Garcia, who received a mental day off Sunday, delivered the winning hit Tuesday with his eighth-inning blast. The outfielder has gone 4-for-27 (.148) to open July, but three of those hits have gone for extra bases. He's now at a .215/.279/.417 slash line with 17 homers, 45 RBI, 47 runs scored and seven stolen bases across 87 contests this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:39 pm

    • Cal Raleigh hits two homers in Mariners’ victory
Cal Raleigh went 3-for-5 and delivered his 16th and 17th homers Tuesday as the Mariners topped the Padres 8-3.

Advice: Raleigh has just 62 hits this season, but more than one-quarter of them are homers and he’s driven in 55 runs, which is particularly impressive given that the Mariners are getting .284 OBPs out of both the second and third spots in the lineup this season. • Clase locks down 28th save of 2024
Emmanuel Clase worked around trouble to earn his 28th save in an extra-innings win over the Tigers.

Advice: Clase didn’t technically allow any earned runs to score but a groundout and a sacrifice fly knocked in the automatic runner to score and make it a one-run game. Clase then allowed back-to-back singles which put the tying run on third base before getting a line out to center field to end the game. The 26-year-old has a 0.83 ERA on the season and has been one of the best closers in fantasy baseball. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:45 pm
